what i dont understand in the UK, why use tipper trailers and not Silo wagens like a kaweco Radium or schuitemaker siwa ( or other brands) its a lot easyer for the pit man to spread the silage instead of tipping everything on 1 big pile, is some one from the UK that can fill me in about that :P

Most silage is naturally on livestock farms many of them dairy and almost all outdoor grazing systems so grass is trailered in tippers and dumpt at pit end so as not to contaminate the silage from dirty farm roadways ,also yields here are so heavy that it would take forever with wagons , also the chop from harvesters is much better

The weight limit for an agricultural trailer is 18300 kgs regardless of how many axles. If you want to go over that it will be non agricultural hence the need for a operator s license and the same conditions as running a hgv

It’s the way a farm show should be and far better than the plough match as it’s gone away from machine and more into craft fairs and away from the farming and was such a disappointment the ploughing this year
