The light that k rool falls into is the power source for the whole island. thats why its called the kore. The island sinks because k rool caused the energy inside to build up and then explode.

In '97 I played with my parents this game for the first time. They gave to me as a Christmas gift. It was December 25, what a memorable day. The game tape couldn't save, so we had to end the game in one play, or else every progress would be erased. Few months later I got 100% with my parents, then we had dinner. In 2017 I finished this game with 102% for the first time, with a tape that could save. The island being destroyed is really profound. For me, it took 20 years to finally complete the game with my parents. Thanks mom and dad, for giving me these deep emotions! Stickerbush Symphony will be my favorite song for all my life

Bro, my dad got it for me Christmas 96!!!! BLOCKBUSTER FRIDAY NIGHTS, every 2-3 Fridays, either finish up my homework or try to get most of it done while I waited for my dad to get home from work and take me to BLOCKBUSTER. And start the weekend , enjoying this game. It was definitely the best Christmas gift to finally own it!! I'll never forget wanting sunrise to come and put the game into my SNES and starting to complete the game!!! For $50 back then, maybe $70-80 in today's money! That game , I will definitely hold on to it until I die!! It is one of my favorite possessions that takes me back to 2nd grade! Especially since my dad gave it to me for Christmas.

I just realized in the first game King K. Rool took 10 hits before he went down and in the 1st fight of Kaptain K. Rool it took 9 cannon balls before he got sent to the swamp but he wasn’t really defeated and then in the 2nd fight all it took was 1 cannonball before he got defeated so really it took 10 cannon balls before K. Rool was fully defeated nice little detail.

Probably the best platform on the super Nintendo besides Mario world, and Mario All-Stars. What a spectacular game. Only the sonic series can rival it. This is a better platform or than every single game on the PlayStation and N64. The music was ridiculously good. I love the lightheartedness of the game how they show sonic the hedgehog's shoes an earthworm Jim is gun.

Why would it be? This boss actually isn't too hard once you memorize the pattern. Though I did want to have the Kannon ball drop right into K.Rool's weapon. This took a few tries.

The ending scene where the island plunges into the sea is very well done. Who is in that ship sailing off and cackling? Truly nostalgic. At 0:33, o like the splashing sound effects the fish make as they jump back into the water. Dkc2 was the best SNES platform game ever made in my opinion. Masterpiece.
