I was 8yrs old and remember hearing this song on a spring morning. It was a joyful feeling. I can still remember how the flowers smelt that morning. Funny how songs can bring a rush of memories and smells… and tastes.

I tear up when I hear this... Reminds me of being a kid, and a childhood that wasn't the best. Bit, I'm 51 now, got 2 girls, one son, there grown and a wife that loves me. I'm so happy I found someone, because as a kid I never thought I would be loved. This song is a reminder, of a trip through hell and a survivor.

I remember singing this on the radio with my mom. Knew every word though I was probably only 4. Then my parents divorced. My next memory of this song was being told to shut up by my stepmom. Saying and I quote" I was not the happiest girl in the whole USA! We were going to have KFC for dinner. I asked what KFC was (1970s people) I was promptly yelled at " Doesn't the bitch of a mom teach you anything! Kentucky Fried Chicken!" Mind you, I was 6 years old! 6! But now the song brings back those happy memories of my mom and I
