This is where I’m at. Laying down. Aching. Exhausted. Heavy laden. Crashing out. Same story different Type A story. I am so circling the through this. Dr. MacBeath in Kelty, Scotland mentioned to me something similar in 1998 about developing ME. The UK was the best at identifying it for me. The US too an extra 20 years. Girls, you’re unpacking my experience. I relate to it all almost verbatim. My husband found you through his music coach guy. I am grateful. Thank you. We’ll see where this goes! Know you’ve reached a M.E. Veteran. Severe ME. & then, Covid ….. yah me too.

Donna's comment about how a 'thought' would sometimes set off a cascade of anxiety in her, really grabbed my attention as this is something I deal with all too often. Btw ...I happily watched all the way through - as I normally do.

R. I got COVID recently , setback, signed on with Jason now, still on track, LOL 😂 I never left home 🏡, my husband brought it home, it showed me how far I’ve come, 8 days, then 24 days of helping my husband, then crashed 4/days, before quickly recovering compared to the past. Not where I was but it’s coming quickly, effortlessly, so excited 😆 to feel the comeback. Just wanted to share 💜💜💜 3/months wfpb, has made all the difference when I had COVID and juicing. Now I’m looking forward to full recovery, I feel it !! It’s here for sure 🥰🥰🥰

Very useful talk and Donna covers a wide range of recovery activities, e.g. sleep, cycles, supplementation, alcohol and diet. With ME/CFS are the men still from Mars and women from Venus? I think so. Thanks again Raelan, and I'm "super excited" to listen to more recovery stories. PS: Raelan, Maybe you could influence researchers to do a qualitative study of all the people you've interviewed? It could identify the common characteristics of a recovery and the common things people do in specific areas, e.g. mind, body, digestion etc. ?
@RaelanAgle3 жыл бұрын
Haha yes...always so excited 😂 And that is a great suggestion Andrew ...hmm can't quite wrap my head around where to get started with that but it is definitely something to think about.

@@RaelanAgle I am sorta' working on trying to make that happen in Sweden! :) But the response (or rather non-response) from the research and ME-organisations are perhaps worthy of a video/discussion in itself. Many others (such as Dan Neuffer from ANS Rewire and Alex Howard from Optimum Health Clinic) seem to share the same experiences as me in this endeavor.

I really hope I make it. I'm 41 and have had me/cfs and fibromyalgia since 2010. I'm naturally an optimistic person, but I'm getting worse every year. 💔

Hi Raelan! you are now my GURU! :D i have had chronic fatigue since i was 19 when i experienced a nervous breakdown. (i am now 36 and i am a solo mum with 2 sons with adhd!) so getting better is a MUST! for our quality of life. I LOVE LOVE LOVE what you are doing! as of yesterday i am now on a plantbased diet! and will focus on my gut health (i too also suffer from yeast infections which i cant seem to cure!) i will then focus on building muscle strength! I was wondering what supplements you took and if you can recommended any?
@RaelanAgle3 жыл бұрын
Hey Alisha! Aw that is so kind and has me blushing 😊 I'm so sorry to hear that you've been facing this for so long, and I can't even imagine what this must be like with 2 sons!! Good for you for being willing to make some changes as I know it's not easy. I hope that you see some progress from it. And although I took thousands of dollars worth of supplements when I first got sick, when I finally recovered I actually wasn't taking any. I know that some people see great results from supplements but personally they haven't seemed to help me much. Wishing you all the best with your recovery journey 💛

Great job, ladies! I am so encouraged on my journey by listening to stories like Donna. I have developed h-pylori on top of CFS and MCS, so I am trying to cure this thing. And speaking of vanity, I literally took clippers and cut my hair to about an inch and used gel to define the curls. It happens to be one of the hairstyles I get the most compliments on. 🤗 I have heard that alcohol is a heart toxin to those of us with CFS.

Hi, I’m curious if Donna is still feeling well after having covid. Some people feel well and then start long hauling 3 months after recovery. Is she still doing ok? If she has not had a relapse or new covid symptoms, it would be helpful to know and could maybe provide some insight into whether pacing after recovery can prevent long hauling. Thanks for the interview 💗

Unfortunately Covid19 set it back up to having alot of the ME / CFS symptoms. Alot of studies on covid recovery /long covid are very familiar to CFS/ME, it's opened the doors to recovery in the UK to be noticed alot more now and more therapy is becoming available 🙏 still waiting on more research regarding 'long covid' & CFS

So happy you are doing so well!! I think working with your hormonal cycle around diet, exercise and life style is super interesting! I kept thinking I was getting better from CF every time around ovulation and would then try to keep that higher activity level and then would have setbacks around my period. After 6 months of tracking on Clue, I realised it was a pattern! . So while I am trying to stick to a baseline now I'll now bear in mind that it's OK to adjust it to your cycle! 🙏😊 I would love to see a video on this topic!
