Nico Robin I read many topics carefully and ironically I didn’t even remember everything I’ve read. But I got some idea on the topics. On the exam day it’s upto u completely how you will talk 2 mins. My exam is on 4th jan 2020. Hopefully I can do well in all 4 ielts test.

New topics may be added every 4 months, but the way you're judged on your English skills remains the same. It only comes down to your ability to use and communicate clearly in English, and how urgently you want to write the IELTS. I took a computer-based test only 6 days later and got 8.5 band score (my second attempt 2 years later; same score). If your English is good enough, just familiarize yourself with the patterns of each module and attempt a few practice questions/papers before the test.

I gave my exam on 14th December 2019. Results came out today. I got 8.5 band..overall. 9 Speaking, 8.5 Reading, 8.5 Listening, 7 Writing. Although.. some questions were really good.. (Like.. Should old people contribute in an economy even after they retire? etc.) The key is to go for as many mock tests as possible.. this is get you out of your comfort zone.. and.. also.. exceed word limit in writing section.. but in a limit. I wrote more.. (there was no time left to count the words and edit/cut some stuff..) and it definitely reflects in my band.. (more words.. more mistakes..). All the best people!

Hi Anna, please read a lot, speak only in English, think only in English, watch English movies, news and TED talks, practice all 4 modules every day continuously for 3 months. You will definitely get 7 for all if you work hard. Search KZbin for Vocabularies for common words used, learn them and practice using them daily. Read at least 5 essays from the 10 essays given in one stop watch channel link. Learn a few new words from that and it will help in both writing and speaking. It helped me score 7 in writing. Also listen to IELTS Liz videos in KZbin. They are all helpful

You're welcome! Listening shouldn't be a big deal as long as your general english is good. As for the essay topics, it's almost like a lottery b/c nobody knows what topic they'll get... for now.
