DONT Rebuild your classic cars transmission

That's cool how you found a 700r4, I just recently bought me one too. For my 75 c10.

They are surprisingly hard to to find. Not as bad as the th350 though. I couldn't find one for less than 2000

It looks like somebody took the brass transmission line inserts out of the transmission you'll be lucky to find some of that fit without ordering new ones from Jegs

Dude the 200r works well also. I think alot better than the 700r... Jic you run across one.

Jovani, big props for doing all that work yourself, laying on your back and doing it the hard way! I just watched your vid on getting that 700r4 in there and after all that work, methinks perhaps just taking the 350 tranny down to a tranny shop and getting them to overhaul it would have saved you so much time and effort you put into getting 700r4 in, but I get it, you had to go there since you needed a car to get to work in. Now that you got the 700r4 in, could you tell me was it worth all that time to convert it or do you think it would have been better to just fix the 350 turbo all along?

The extra gear on the 700r4 and the lock up convertor are a real benefit. I never drove the car with the th350 but I can tell you the 700r4 feels good on the highway. It probably would've been easier to just rebuild it but not that much has to change to put the 700r4 in

Because its a dog off the line. I think it had 2.89 rear? I switched to 3.44 and it was night and day

@@JovaniDanteGriego my dad has a 67 Camaro with a 350 and he put a 700r4 and it runs like shit in the short run has slow take off but in the long run it’s a beast not sure why tho it used to have a good take off with the 350 th transmission
