The reason they did not use the same power wire to feed the ignition relay and fuel pump is because you should have a fused power source for the fuel pump

Mexico pollutes the atmosphere with their fires when they burn their fields every year. The smoke travels all the way up into Texas and we get to breathe it all in. It’s the same with China. They can pollute the atmosphere and it travels around the world and nobody says anything about it. China gets praised for their ingenuity. Sickening.

Driving a classic car as a daily for nearly 7 years has taught me to be paranoid about every sound, smell, and feel. These cars were usually beat up and abused before we get them. So they don't feel like they should and would've when brand new and most things haven't been changed on them so almost all of those things are nearing the end of their life cycle or already passed it. BUT after you change this here and there for a while you look up and all of the mechanical parts are new and you don't have to worry anymore. Then you can drive it everywhere and be confident in it like when it was new again.

I'm literally in the same boat. Purchased Jan 31. No RPM signal. Sent hyperspark distributor in and after 4 weeks came back after testing fine then sent my sniper in, waiting 6 weeks before it came back after testing fine. I haven't done 700/4l60e yet. I've heard they are a little bit harder because you need some long snap ring pliers. But overall I think the biggest thing for me is making sure I remember how everything went. Forgetting a little plastic bushing after you assembled the trans sucks lol

So I’m ls swapping a 1935 hudson it’s a shell the only wires in it are the eBay ls harness. I’m trying to wire it to start I have a good battery and I’m sure of that but when I crank it drops from 12 to bellow 9. the way I have it wired is the red wire to the relay is wired straight to the battery and I have no spark I am at a loss. I’ve checked grounds 100 times cleaned everything.
@JovaniDanteGriegoАй бұрын
Go get your self a ignition switch from AutoZone or O'Reilly's. Now run a wire from the start terminal to the little starter post. Run yourself a wire from the battery to the battery terminal Now run a wire from the ign post to the ign wire on the harness. Run the 2 red wires on the harness to the starter battery post. 1 ground by the ECU 1 behind the head. That should be everything you need

I have a similar project with a 2004 Land Rover Discovery- I LOVE the truck- but the engine is a POS- I've rebuilt it twice now and still have leaks, the current one a big one up front that I have to get squared away- my next round with it is definately an LS swap- which is how I found your channel. That big ol square body Suburban is the shit- keep after it. Definitely move you're way down the driveline- I think it's going to end up being your transfer case (all along) but now you can whip out a 4l80 in no time! Good experiences for sure- as frustrating as they are.

It's a common misconception that's the cam bearings are worn, but it's actually a part of the manufacturing process I believe the bearings receive a small line hone before the first can install. I've never seen a cam bearing not showing copper color
