there is an old jewish man who was an athiest his whole life. he was sexually abused by his father, while mom turned a blind eye. eventually the dad (a respected anthropology professor and author) cheated once to many times on his wife, so they got divorced. but before the divorce...together they explained to their little boy that there is no god. and that people came from monkeys. the little boy m grew up to be a lost and confused mess. a drunken and failed life. but 16 months ago, a miracle happened and their lost son was touched by the Holy Spirit. i'm talking about myself. on April 1, 2023, i was baptised. since then, i have tried my very best to be a good child of Jesus - who through a true miracle - saved me late in my life. i have forgiven my parents, but truth is that i still struggle with alcohol.

When I was losing joy in my life, God’s teachings allowed me to prevail over my depression. I get the essence of what you’re trying to say, but respectfully, I must clarify that it is incorrect. Please don’t continue to spread that message because it really devalues the experience that people with real depression face on a regular basis. Depression IS a disorder, and no, *not everybody feels it.* Sure, everyone can feel sad for a while. Everyone can feel hopeless. Everyone can lose interest in what once brought them joy. But to experience depression is to deal with all of those things and plenty more issues both mentally and physically for a LONG long time, and in a debilitating way, even when it doesn’t make sense to. Literally everything in your life could be going perfectly right, and yet you still dread opening your eyes in the morning, your bones feel as though they weigh 1000 pounds pulling you into the ground, and you feel so burdened by the pressure of life that it takes all your energy to pull in a single breath and you question every passing moment how you can possibly do this for another 50+ years. Meanwhile, you have the perfect job, a loving family, healthy pets, perfect grades, and in all this you’re burdened with the indispensable guilt that you aren’t capable of enjoying those blessings the way you should be able to. It’s frustrating to the point of tears, and exhausting to see the love and joy around you and not be able to physically feel the good in it. Depression is being in the shower, and not having the energy to reach over to your shampoo and wash your hair. It’s barely having the motivation to brush your teeth because lifting your arm to your face feels like lifting a truck. This is why it’s a DISORDER because it happens even when it shouldn’t. So please, please don’t minimize actual depression to “just a feeling”. It’s not a feeling, it’s an unbearable heaviness that permeates every aspect of your existence in life, sleep, hunger, energy, mood, memory, concentration, digestion, productivity, and much much more.

I feel this way as well and its been going on for years ever since i could remember, but one day i refused to feel like this and made in effort to see the joys in my life, all the blessing i took for granted, i had a conversation with myself and realized what i seek is not money happiness sex women cars nice house, no these things won't follow me when i go, i realized what I'm looking for is peace and with god i have that. Depression is real but you can fight it and you can be yourself again, Too the bones that feel 1000lbs i say ill keep moving you'll just make my muscles bigger and stronger, when you say dread opening your eyes in the morning, i say get up and make a cup of coffee and go to the gym, when you say impossible to feel good and enjoying the blessing the way i should i take a moment to be in the present and acknowledge and ask forgiveness because of the blessing i have been given but didn't realize. Depression is real but you are so much more capable than you realize. id like to think of it like this "The man that falls 7 times will get back up 7 times, yet the devil fell down once and can't get back up" you are so much more then you realize. I have liked this guy since 2nd grade and now I'm in middle school. Last year was HORRIBLE and i was so depressed because i couldnt and still cant let him go. I believe thats God. Other people have asked me out and wanted to be with me and i had this feeling like "say no". Ever since 7th grade i have prayed and prayed we will be together and i had this voice in math class say "in 8th grade...wait until 8th grade" and now it is the 3rd week of school and I'm whole heartedly hoping we will be together. I talked to God about this dude today and have been searching up stupid signs. I just watched a "how to make you crush like you" and this video was on my feed. Me and this guy will be together.....i believe it 100%

How do I become close to God? And how do I know if I LOVE him. I read 1-3 Bible verses a night and look at the Bible app in the morning, but I feel I’m distant from him. I can’t remember any Bible verses and I don’t even understand half the ones I’m reading. I asked my dad something one day, I said “Dad, how do I know if the lord is in me? And he said that the way I treat others with kindness and respect, I treat the work that I do at school as if I’m serving God, I’m a hard worker, good attitude, etc. This comforted me and made me realize that I’m doing good for my age as to reading the Bible. But then I started falling into the sin of Lust, and profanity and much more and I was so disappointed in myself, I really wanted to do better so I repented and I’m resisting all those urges I have now. Whenever I pray, God answers my prayers and I can tell when he does, whether it’s immediately or long term. But I feel I’m still distant from him, I still feel like I don’t LOVE him, I still feel like I can do better. I’m so lost right now. I want to read more of the Bible but I don’t even know where to start. I thought about reading the Bible from beginning to end, but I get a sense of laziness and I don’t even understand what the Bible says. Like I said before I don’t even remember Bible verses and I feel like he’s not inside of me. What should I do? (Also sorry for the rant)

Commit, commit to prayer, commit to reading the bible, commit to fasting, I know how you feel, but remember also the the Lord will never depart from you (Isaiah 54:10) the devil will make you feel lazy, discouraged, But by you reading, praying,fasting, even when you don’t feel like it shows God that you do love Him and that you are putting Him before what your feeling that day, no matter what the devil tells you or other people tell you remember that the Lord will never leave your side. hmm...if your actually doing well than you just pray threwout your spirtual warfare. if you aren't doing well than I suggest advancing your relationship with God. like I read 1-5 chapters per day and spend time with God every 5-3 hours but I still feel something is up...if that's what your case is kind of like than your actually supposed to feel like that! your journey with God isn't gonna feel like sunshine and rainbows. the devil is always attacking and guilt tripping you so that's probably what your feeling. I'm not perfect either. I struggle with praying (knowing what to say) screen time and rage and alot of more! that's what us human are! we are sinners. none of us are better than another and were ALWAYS gonna sin no matter being faithful with god. about the not understanding the bible, I recommend getting an simpilfied Verison or having study time with it figuring out what each verse or sentence means.

Hey i hope you are well. I really suggest you consult the Holy Spirit on this one because we all get close to God in diffrent ways. But if i really had to recommend some ways, i would recommend fasting and prayer(it gives God a lot more attention and requires you to rely on Him more. If you have not fasted before start small and increase the intensity as you go on),Repent( sometimes our sins that we commit, knowingly or unknowingly, cloud us from hearing God's voice clearly), Quiet time where you worship and praise God and journal to Him(so you can hear more from Him, sit down and attentivley listen) I hope this helps,otherwise always seek the guidance of the Holy Spirit and notice when He drops hints on how to get close to Him because He knows what you need.

I love your channel, you make me think about things I haven't even thought of before. I've believed in God my whole life (Im 15) but never as much as now. I haven't started praying yet but I will. A lot of what you said in the video is true for me because I had acid reflux which made it hard for me to eat and since october 2023 I've started going to the gym and bulking as I am extremly skinny and don't like myself. And every time when I start to gain decent amount of weight and muscle mass something happens it's like God sending me a new challenge. Because of the acid reflux I lost 6 kg because I refused to eat somedays just because it felt so awful. And three or four months before this I got a stomach virus which made me throw up 10 times in a single day which made me lose 2 kg. Because of everything that has happened I became in depressive like state like crying without stopping, because I couldn’t look at myself and didn't want to go to the beach because of how I looked. But I have always said to myself that if I fall 3 times I get up 4 times. And just like the saying "God sents his strongest soldiers the hardest challenges" not that I am strong or anything but I will not stop fighting until I complete my goal Thank you for helping me figure out all of this at such a young age I hope you have good day or night if you even see this God Bless🙏🙏🙏 Amen❤
