Yes this is normal as long as your snake is not displaying any signs of illness, I had one male go off food for 9 months for no reason at all, just didn’t want to eat, are you breeding him currently?

Males typically grow to a length of 3 to 4 feet long and weigh about a pound or a pound an half as adults, females will grow to 4 to 5 feet long and can weigh between 2-3 pounds as adults. They can easily be handled by 1 person
