Are oxidation and combustion reactions synonymous?
@tanishgoel47194 жыл бұрын
No oxidation is the addition of oxygen in a compound to oxidise it while combustion is done in the presence of oxygen to form CO2 and H2O. In combustion heat and light is produced while in oxidation heat and light isn't produced. Refer to chapter 1 for a clearer understanding of oxidation

Single Bonds are stronger than double bonds as they have stigma bonds while double and triple bonds have pi bonds. So won't it be easier for o2 to break double bonds?
@shivshelke58122 жыл бұрын
But bond strength is higher in hydrocarbons those possess triple bond than double bond than single (Bond enthalpy)

"Don't memorize" LOL ....... and it come from smarter individuals ..... hmmm? OKAY, I got it, use the brain but not memory ..... huh? ...... make sure you understand but do not use your memory because using the memory is from less smart people ....... now, to conclude, repeat what I said but not using your memory ..... : D ...... and now let's do an oxidation but without Oxygen ..... LOL, you can actually do that? .... no and yes ...... wait chemistry should be taught not thought by really smart people so that i can learn fast but with my memory ..... it is so inhumane to ask someone without brains to learn without guts ......LOL
