Every time I see one of these older Mustangs I think about my god father. He had an old Mustang that he converted to a 302 V8 with 4 to the floor. He didn’t stop there. He built that 3, 0, 2 to rev. With a cam profile that made great power once you hit about 4k on the tach. It was an tour de force till about 6500-6800 Revolutions. At which point you would shift and go thru that surge of power all over again. I wish he had never sold it. And, when he did my story about a built old Mustang comes to an end.

My best friends dad is a fabricator and builds muscle cars and drag cars. He built a 1968 mustang called the black mamba just look up 68 black mamba and you’ll see it. 950hp he did the frame and body I know for sure but he’s a genius when it comes to anything car related and he could have built more of it too, not sure tho. He just finished rebuilding his first car a few years ago, and he bought it when he was a teenager. it’s a 1,300hp chevelle. I seen that car as just a frame all the time when I was a teenager, and one day I showed up to his shop/house (not house/shop) after not seeing him for a year and the chevelle was fully completed. It’s so fucking beautiful.

My Dad had a 1970 Boss 302. Amazing car that seemed like it had more hp than advertised. He had 4 Mustangs...a '64-1/2, a '67, a '68, but the coolest was the Boss all decked out in orange! Fast forward to modern times andd Ford really scr3wed the pooch when they did not take the time to develop a modern version of the old Boss body design.
