I believe that that the Money Pit Miata did more to build your channel than any other project save for maybe the Hi/Lo 350Z's. It's certainly why I subscribed in the first place.

You are honest about the pain and the pay off of venturing into projects that have no clear instruction manual. Now I’m looking at finishing a build for a 20 year Volvo with close to 500 BHP that had no clear guide on how to get there.... This build brought me back to my teenage days of memorizing different cars out of 'Project Car Magazine.' I loved that you went step by step on an affordable car, so anyone could follow along if they really wanted to start learning. Zach Jobe seeming like a super approachable guy, made the project itself also seem very approachable. Really appreciate what you guys did for the community with this car. Also, side note - When working on my B8.5 S4, Zach's videos for ECS were also straightforward and helpful! Keep it up guys!

Great to see this whole build. Money Pit inspired me to buy my own NB miata and start wrenching on it. Owned it for 2 wondeful years, learnt a lot about cars, had lots of fun working on it and even more fun driving it. Did lots of not-totally-necessary stuff to it, but also got myself out of a few jams, including replacing a busted radiator on the miata (and then subsequently another car with the know-how I gained from working on the miata) and a failed clutch master/slave cylinder. I've since sold the car, but my 2 years of owning her are forever happy memories. You just can't beat the feeling of rolling around town on a hot summer day with the top down

Would love to see Jerry do a similar thing with a bike maybe.

I bought a stockish 99 (Upgraded rotors and pads) for 7k. Bought wheels and tires for 1k for a change in look which was great. Car was just not fast enough so I bought headers and an intake , price not here cuz I didn't stick with them. I did need a new soft top, think I paid something like 150 for it, original had holes. I also got a hardog roll bar I think 600$ after shipping ugh. 6 speed and 3.9 swap for about 500$ and a 4 puck sprung clutch. Then I got a incredible opportunity to buy a flyin miata turbo kit, think that was about 4500$. Needed 800 for an ecu, 300 for injectors, and 850$ for a tune, 200 for a dual boost controller. 50$ for a radio (miata came with the mazda bose amp and speaker setup). So I spent about 16K on mine.

I would love to see more money pit like this. I definitely liked the Miata series more than the short lived bmw. And it is my favorite series on the channel. Bring it back please!!

The Money Pit Miata has to be one of the most underrated cars Donut has. It was clearly a labor of love, showing both amazing performance, and even looks. The Miata is a car known for making you smile when you drive it, but this one looks like it would make you grin like an idiot just by sitting in it, looks pretty cozy too in a rugged sleek way.

I took 2 years and spent even more than 25k on my Miata, but it is still not able to hit the road yet, lol. Because I spent more on engine rebuild and forged internal parts. Huge thanks to Donut Media and the whole Miata community for giving me all the inspiration and advice.

I liked the shout out for Eddie behind the cam. Rest too ofc, but this was a nice personal touch for someone who makes things happen and is usually "invisible" (you know what I mean)

You guys should continue and do a looks portion. Engine dress up, fixing the body, a wrap/paint job And that makes the overhaul 100%

This series was a huge winner for Donut and no doubt boosted their subs. The high low series were also excellent and I personally loved the 4WD editions due to it being so popular now (and I've always loved 4WD's)

I miss money pit from the driveway, I think that's where we all started. I had my '93 Probe on jack stands in the apartment parking lot putting on headers, test pipes craiglist rims. Simpler times.
