@@Senzuballs I just either rocket or ballista doom hunters on their sled or use my chaingun/shield/cluster grenades on them. It's too hard dealing with their shield so taking out their platform is how I get them. Like any heavy.guys, if there are enough around, I'll freeze them, throw my frags and then focus on doing my usual. I'm just so bad with losing my vantage point that enemies in games with recharging shields just murk me though at least unlike halo 4 i can deal with room's enemies okay - but not so much that Khan myker boss though I should have used lock on rockets more just not use to them. Never was a rocket player in fps in the past but now that my rigs are not beyond the medium specs, rockets are getting used a bit more.

We're integrating over the curve C, y to the third ds, and C is the curve with parametric equations x = t cubed, y = t. We're going from t = 0 to t = 2. So we're going to integrate over that curve C of y to the third ds. We're going to convert everything into our parameter t in terms of our parameter t. So I'm going to be integrating from t = 0 to t = 2. Those will be my limits of integration. Now y is equal to t, so I'm going to replace y with what it's equal to in terms of t. So I'm going to be integrating the function t to the third. Now ds we're going to write as a square root of dx dt squared + dy dt squared, squared of all that as we said dt. So we're integrating now everything with respect to t. Micro Missiles vs Turret Mod would be really interesting.

Off the top of my head, Micro Missiles do more damage but can't falter (also they do self damage). Mobile Turret is hitscan and falters.

Missiles have a higher DPS, Very fast transformation, and greater mobility, but its not hit-scan and burns through ammo very fast due to 1 missile costing 2 bullets. Turret consumes ammo at a decent pace and is hit-scan so hitting shots is way easier, but you move slow, your DPS isnt as high as Micro Missiles, and it has a slower transformation.

I just started playing this game off a recommendation from a friend. Im an old retired fighting game player and he got me to try it by saying "its basically an FPS with the depth of a fighter" then he pointed me to Mayo videos. He started me on ultraviolent, have been playing about a week and streaming so he can watch my progress. Just finished and beginning my nightmare run and master level runs. All I can say is, wow. Im amazed daily at the depth of this game. I get that "fighting game training feeling" during my play sessions where its grinding sequences into muscle memory and my focus for the night is to just add one new thing. i.e. quick swap combos, most efficient ways to kill specific demons, combining movement while working on learning and applying falter mechanics. Now heat blast, I'm loving this game so far, and Mayo's history in the FGC really shows in his approach to the systems in Doom Eternal. best of all, he speaks a language this old gamer understands. Apologies for long post, wanted to give some good feedback about this channel. its top notch.

I wished I used more mods too cause they have an ammo count sometimes like mini rockets and sticky bombs; I just don't use these though starting off a fight with these two mods can conserve ammo and even clear out a small enough room or wave of enemies.

I actually really like getting all three pips for the Plasma because the full charge instantly destroys any and all weakpoints caught in the blast. So you pop it and now you’re surrounded by a bunch of disarmed, faltered demons with a damage boosted Plasma Rifle in your hands. If you decide to just keep using the primary fire then it starts charging the next heat blast and essentially feeds into itself. It’s not a particularly fancy set up, but it’s ammo efficient on most things below the Cyber Mancubus and it’s relatively safe.

The heat blast is very useful against the DOOM hunter. You can blast him with 1 charge to falter him and double blood punch him to destroy his sled.

Something that I think that should be noted is the heat blast's effectiveness against the Doom Hunter and his shields. You can down the dudes shields, falter him, and do damage to his "flesh" all with one good plasma chain. It gives you a great opening to melt his sled and finish him off. Also, 2 charges will destroy 2 weak points on the enemies it hits, and 3 charges will wipe all weak points.

Heat blast has become one of my favorite tools for battlemode as well. It's great for harassing archvile that like to shimmy back and forth in their firewall. You can tag them up, then unleash the blast + ssg combo.

Plasma rifle with heat blast was one of my primary weapons in 2016 because I didn't play fps games at all prior, so it helped with small, nimble targets in a genre I wasn't accustomed to. At the start of Eternal I still used heat blast, but now I've been using microwave beam and can definitely see it as the better option for locking big guys to combo. But, I will always have a soft spot for heat blast and the ridiculous damage it does.

I started using PB+SSG combo on barons and tyrants with grenade falter + blood punch falter(if i am lucky the blood punch recharges with a glory kill) after ur falter video, its crazy fun being in the face of the biggest deamons all the time and not being hit... Thats cool and all but when the blood punch fail cuz reasons the heat blast is perfect alternative. Love ur "tips and tricks" style videos, keep up the good work

For barons, interesting. I love heat blast falters on the doom hunter boss, before a blood punch. Same thing could apply here. Especially when you can’t shield into BP to a doom hunter. It’s cool having different ways to do it, especially for that boss. Frags, heat blast. Good thing ya don’t have double blood punch at the DH boss!

I know this isn't relevant to video but quick combo that melts Whiplash quickly. Stun them with microwawe beam (if it doesn't work with a little stun, stun it for a bit longer), then quickly switch to pb+rocket quickswap and it's dead. It's faster than lockon, but you gotta be careful if there is a cyber-mancubus nearby or sth like that. I tried same thing but with heat-blast, and it works, although a bit riskier since you have to be close to whiplash. Heat Blast and ssg+pb combo will work I think. Great vid as always, Lord Mayo.

Started using the heat blast again recently after using the beam so often. Noticed how good it was at faltering and destroying weak points. Forgot how much damage a full charge boosted plasma gun can do. Also, this got me thinking. If any guns get added to doom eternal, it is going to be insane how many combo opportunities any new gun will be able to be incorporated in. Even a pistol has combo potential (exacto staggers, baby) and that is glorious.

Plasma Rifle and SSG are my favorite duo in 2016 and Eternal. I also use heatblast since microwave seems to never lock on for me, and the lowest heatblast is still insta kill on shotgunners.

Yeeessss Heat Blast tech! Microwave Beam was my first plasma rifle mod when I first started Eternal because of you. (Same for Full Auto actually ✊.) Heat Blast always felt too easy/strong to me, similar to Lock On rockets. But now that I'm trying to beat Extra Lives mode on the SGN master level, I'm using Heat Blast to help clear out all the fodder. It seems like a very static mod, but I want to find the depth in all of them. Also wow, Barons used to be scary in classic Doom and 2016. Now you can just stunlock and falterlock them 😭😂

I use it mostly in battlemode can melt a manc in 10 seconds flat. I chain it with blood punch, grenade and finish with heat blast. It makes the demons stagger and gives room to get away when they spams summons.

Ah yes my favorite weapon, with my favorite mod. The plasma gun 🔫 with heat blast mod is super versatile and better than heavy cannon in my opinion. It has high ammo, decent damage, good range, and just outright soo relaible! The heat wave mod also acts like a panic button when demons gets to close in your face and acts like a fantastic shotgun with a stun mechanic.

I think you will enjoy using the bashing ability of the shield mode, I started using it to easily kill Pinkys but now I’m using it on almost every enemy because it makes it much safer to switch to another weapon after using the shield mode!

What I enjoy using heat blast for is using a full charge one to full falter a group of heavy or super heavy demons and then launch grenades and then a cryo grenade to finish it of with mobile turret heavy chain gun with some rockets in there

could you do a video on quickswapping mods? It's something a lot of people don't know about even though in high level play it can be super useful. I think you have the audience to make this technique really special this is how it works: in the weapon wheel you can change the mod on a weapon when you switch to that weapon, example, you're using the Heavy Cannon with micro missiles, switch to the SSG and then (using the weapon wheel) you can switch back to the heavy canon with precision bolt. (on console you just press right/left on the d-pad when in the wheel)

Yeah cool video, I love it. You could probably stun lock the baron without having to use any of your BP or grenade resources with this. PB rocket for a dmg falter, then remote det for another falter. Do some SSG combos and then heat blast when he recovers and he should never get to move. Very cool tactic.

Would you be interested in playing Darktide when it releases? Fat Shark made both of the Vermintide games, which Darktide will be similar to, and they have a similarly complex, Doom-dancey feel to them. The movement and combat systems are complex, layered, very well implemented, and the games have a similar skill ceiling that will go as high as you take it. I ask this because there aren't many channels that do this kind of high-level content for Vermintide 2. J_sat is the only one that comes to mind.
