Jeez, the playback looks absolutely smooth! What kind of specs does your machine have to run this map so efficiently?

he uses a sourceport called GLBoom+, which is a opengl version of PRBoom+. let's just say that this source port can slaughter maps incredibly well and without a single sweat at all. retrodoom and crispy doom also reportedly can do this as well

Play it on GLBoom+. You can’t play it on regular ZDL gzdoom even with RTX 4090 as it’s very laggy.

@@Reachland02I think I must have made this comment before I started using DSDA-Doom, lol. The smooth playback is clearly because this output was produced using the -viddump command, because capturing regular demo playback would have shown an extreme amount of lag during the final fight.

MAP07 has no exit. To play MAP31, start a new game and type 'idclev31'

Almost under PAR, but not quite. Regardless, well done. How legitimately challenging would you say this was?

42000 monsters might seem intimidating, but the difficulty isn't actually that high. There's an abundance of health and ammo to keep you stacked, especially during the final wave. This run was only my second attempt. The most challenging parts are the beginning of each wave. After a while all the monsters will gather in the center, and you can just run rings around them. Hardest encounter is the blur sphere area. It's on the smaller side, and there are so many hit-scanners, you need those blur spheres to survive. I was a bit disappointed that I didn't make par, and all because of that one stuck imp. Things like this happening is why I don't really like maxing slaughter maps.
