The DWIronman League is a monthly competition taking place on the Doomworld forums and organized by NaZa.
Each month, participants play a specific WAD, trying to get as far as possible without dying, and submit a demo or a video recording of their playthrough. Typically, in multi-level mapsets, participants must start from the beginning of MAP01 on Ultra-Violence difficulty, and are ranked based on how many maps they successfully complete.
This map is played on Ultra-Violence with a continuous playthrough and no saves. Death means the run is over.

Heh yeah :D And it's not even just about the money - it's mostly that some of these WADs/runs are really fun to share, so I'd love for more people to see them. And of course I could make them all free, but I think it's a fun and small (though some videos are 3+ hours heh) reward for people who are kind enough to support me :)

Thanks, this is exactly what makes these Ironman runs so fun! Of course there's also some real disappointing endings from time to time - usually thanks to crushers, softlocks or death pits. I was convinced this was going to be one of them early on with me being jammed, but phew!

They have been done in the past I think, but it's VERY rare. Things like Sunlust and Alien Vendetta have been picked before!

"A max damage roll could potentially kill me"... yep, that's exactly what happened to me, only it was the second Revenant! Also I didn't even realize you could just walk on the ledge and jump to the soulsphere, probably would've survived if I'd figured that out.

I know the doom engine is a bit "janky" but how did the rocket let you out from the stuck, when you could not walk out? Seems strange :D

The rocket blast adds more momentum. He's already running backward toward the gap. So this made him faster for a moment. The collision detection doesn't register the wall when he's moving fast enough to be beyond the wall in a single game tic. You can look up void glides for more information on this mechanic.

I have no clue whatsoever. There was a caco hidden in some kind of fan earlier - maybe some more shenanigans like that? Or perhaps simply a hidden secret that doesn't actually count as a secret (like all the supercharges), but still spawns some enemies.
