for anyone that may not know, the rune abilities are super valuable. You can use "armored offensive" alongside "rich get richer" to give you unlimited ammo when you have 90 armor or more. (I know it says 100, but trust me it gives you until you have less than 90 armor). Once you get your weapon masteries you will have so much fun going back for secrets. I recomend beating the game and getting your weapon mastery and suit upgrades, then go back for any secrets you missed. it's so much fun!!!

Thanks for the video, although two things: 1) For the "three possessed, one barrel", there is a far better method: go for the bridge when the level starts (instead of grabbing journal entry and gun upgrade), there will be bunch of possessed (kill the solider first) across the bridge and a barrel to the left. This is far easier than the method in this video, there are too many variables with your method and these will introduce a higher chance of monster in-fighting (it's a thing in DOOM games). 2) Here is my question about combat rating, what if I do not acquire all of the rating marks in a level? Will that affect my achievement progress? Cheers

Another way to get the 3 kills with one barrel if you missed the first one by heading to that area accidentally before watching that part of the video like me Right at 9:35 when you jump into the window, if you go down into that square room on the right, there were 3 imps that followed me. Made it super easy having them in such a contained space. Great guides as always Maka

In Doom there is a Terminator reference I was playing this just trying to defeat the gorgeous and I fell in lava I died and as I was watching the last few seconds to live for my checkpoint I saw as he was melting into the lava the thumb thing that the Terminator did at the end of Terminator 2 I think it was when he descended into lava

Yep, I noticed it too the same way man. Then I released that both DOOM 2016 AND especially Doom Eternal are filled with Terminator influences, the sound of the plasma guns, the aracnaton’s laser cannon, The zombie/machine soldiers, some of the post apocalyptic level atmospheres etc 👍🏼

From here on out I now follow each mission step by step by your guide. It takes me hourse to do what you do in about 30 min BUT that's OK! Just a tip i noticed, When you first get the yellow card, you can quickly parkour up and grab the blue card at the same time, then just hop back down to where the yellow was, Then continue this guide. Takes about 30 seconds. This could possible save having to go Past that gore nest you destroy right before getting the blue card in the video.

Ive heard the progress trophies are very buggy to the point the PSN profiles site suggests getting them all done without closing the application and some might still glitch... It was that damn guys arm that got me stuck. That and this weird graphics glitch where textures didn't load properly. Meaning I couldn't tell what's what. I got it now after learning how to fix the problem and about that damn arm. See normal people wouldn't think of tearing someone's arm off to use their clearance.

8 years late, but if you wanted to glory kill the soldiers at: 3:09 you can put them into the glory state (Stun? idk how to say it) once you do, jump on the lil yellow railing and jump and glory kill. It'll work.

A lot of people are saying they dislike this level design but I could not disagree more. I LOVE this maze-like keycard style level design, I love all the branching paths, I love ALL the level design in every level of this game very much greatly. I just want the developers to know that not everybody hates it and some people actually like this.

Recommend filling those guys with mini rockets. It's an upgrade for the machine gun. I always find it helps to sort those big guys quick, or you can rely on the grenade launcher attachment for the shotgun, a couple of those to their body also does the trick. I think their weak spot is the head, unfortunately that's a small target.

Yah that's the one thing that throws these guides off - getting really really close to 5 points sucks because you either have to replay the whole level meticulously to get all the kills, or backtrack everything you just did trying to find the 1-2 guys you missed...sometimes unsuccessfully :(

Well even if you dont get 5 in every level, so long you get 3 or 4 you should still get more than enough with the secrets... Plus even with following this guide exactly you end up with 5 without trying most of the time.

Relax. You can continue the challenges in this mission after completing the game. It will be easier with the upgrades you've collected. In fact, you can even reload from a checkpoint if you're not playing Ultra Nightmare.

Iirc: VEGA told you at the start of the level. Those are combat performance meters, one for each full room of demons. They grant weapon upgrade points.

Not sure if you figured it out yet but press settings > controller it will tell you what button you have mapped for it. You need fuel for it to use it though same as ammo for the guns.
