There is a difference between the NEPAL scandal and normal past questions. There are usmle past questions desigend by the NBME to help you prepare for the exam, similar to a normal past question like WAEC question. People study past questions that have been released to the public domain by the examining body with the "hope" that some questions or concepts will be repeated. The NEPAL scandals was an intentional attempt to circumvent the rigorous exam preparation by studying real exam questions that havent been released into the public domain knowing fully well that what they were doing was illegal and that the questions will come out 100%

So how did they get the real exam questions that haven’t been released. Is the leakage not an indictment of security features of the examining body?

@@kendaddi5857 If the examining body is reusing re_runs to quickly that can also happen...which means that more work has to be done in cutting down on the frequency of reruns. Again, if some one can answer a question in a few seconds and at the same time, is struggling for 90secs with a new question, it means you have a big joker ..............a thief on your hand. He cannot think. He cannot analyze but he can steal, RAPIDLY.

They were told to take the test for free. They used the original board questions for studying and that is not the same as using past questions.

The non-disclosure form they fill out is crucial, including the risk of license revocation or non-issuance in the event of a breach. Understanding it will clarify their stance, which is distinct from WAEC exams.

Thank you for this content. Pass questions should not be shared. Concepts and topics is ok...if I say to someone make sure you review mental health assessment and treatment or cardiac symptoms and treatment- those are prep tips. It would not be enough to get into trouble. To sign a nondisclosure and then drop exact questions in the chat is wrong, against the rules and will spell trouble. What Nepal did put them at unfair advantage over other applicants. This is a cautionary tale for all of us.

Usmle is about concepts. Once u know the concepts u can answer any question.

Using past questions to LEARN is ok, but memorising past questions to pass an exam is dangerous.

Why are u always talking about the US? Talk about the 15000 GPs that left the UK last year. The truth is that the best UK doctors find their way to the USA. Also past question issue is in plab as well. UK government is just too lazy to investigate. There are past questions for plab and it's been used since eternity

WAEC past questions in a booklet right from the years I was not even born to date has been in my head when you started talking about this until I watched till the end and found out that you mentioned same 😂😂😂😂😅. Thank God they are given a second chance but the procedure is not what anyone will like to embark on such journey twice 😢.

WAEC is at a lower level, so it's very easy to set different questions every day. But as the level goes up, it gets to a point where you can't really set new questions on some things without strong scientific barking. They can always change the English but the content might not change.

There is nothing wrong with sharing how the exams are like to fellow students or professionals who will take the same exam. Compilation of information is good either in driving exams, medicine exams, Tech certification exams,GSCE exams, etc. If the examination board feels it's not fair, then they should change the style of setting this exams!Goodluck to students, hardworking pays off.

There is nothing wrong with recalls and past questions. That is not cheating. The board should take responsibility for not changing their questions. Why make innocent hardworking people suffer.

It’s a cultural difference. If they can’t adapt to western morals/ethics regarding academics, then they shouldn’t work there either.

the examiners board should be blamed for being lazy in the first place why cant they rewrite the questions for every exam knowing full well people will discuss just sound lake lazy people looking for who to blame.Changing and rephrasing the exam questions would avoid this problem in the first place.

The amount of money is not the important thing. A doc can make back the funds. At the same time, you do not want people who do not know their work in the system. Medicine is not a place for jokers and people who are just remembering answers seen on a past paper. Frauds are NOT welcome. Some people want to get along by stealing. The word of God is clear: Thou shalt NOT steal. Imagine some one is sick and quickly needs help and a man does NOT have the mental capacity to decipher what needs to be done at his particular level, he should not be counted worthy to be grappling with that situation. Imagine having a medic who should have some basic skills on calculating a 0.5% solution from a 2% solution for use in a critical area and the man is fumbling around the issue, he might end up killing a patient, plain and simple. Let's get rid of these jokers and send them to do some work in areas where they can be safely employed, causing no horizontal injury or bringing trouble on themselves and the hospital. Some people see medicine as a tree which when shaken hard enough, dollars will fall off. there is no wonder we have people stealing and using all kinds of underhand maneuvers to get into it. I am quite aware of the thieving that is going on in some areas. This stealing became quite clear during COVID times.

It’s out. Results are released 2-4 weeks post exam

LOVE how UK do their stuff,when it comes to those exams😂😂❤🎉🎉.If Africa was like this,we'd have THEE BEST of the Best only. And to be honest,who wants to be seen by a quack dr?No one.We need to value lives. Let them do investigations and find who cheated.And make them re-sit the Exams.Those Countries mentioned,English is not their 1st language, so they should also consider that.

It was a very very smart move. They did nothing wrong. What were they expecting people to do when they made the test ridiculously difficult. Past questions are used to prepare for most exam. Please find out if there are saviour documents for IT certifications. 😂😂😂

You sign a non disclosure with uslme that will not discuss the questions with anyone or recreate it in any form. They had the exact questions from uslme on their private chat, that's a breach of the agreement. Laws work in the US.

This are past question student refer to has recall. Most of the questions are not frame same way as it is in the exam I don't see any thing wrong in that

You sign a non-disclosure agreement. That is the issue. It is not an issue of past questions. There are platforms that legally have the question banks. In Ghana these are not signed. In exams in the West, they are. It is a legal document and if you are caught you will be found wanting.
