Love your videos and builds. The Archive is great for off-meta builds. I am gonna give this one a try. I will tweak one thing. The shoulders will be changed to monolith heavy reinforced and the waist to storm-cursed nirnhoned. Better resistances like that. I'll need them. I am an Imperial not a Nord :)

Awesome Shim! Great work and thank you for trying the build! I just want to give a general statement (that applies to every IA build not just this one) to you and people who responded below: "Better" resists is a relative thing here. The cap is 33k. There is countless ways to reach it. However, there are ways to reach it that are better than others. It depends on what you are sacrificing to obtain the extra resists. Not everyone will reach it in the same way due to people having different qualities of things and different levels of resources to upgrade them. In that same regard, before you go blowing transmute crystals to have it "perfect" for which resist is technically superior on the gear piece. See if its necessary first. Example: If you are just over resist cap, then transmuting the specific pieces which Nirn gives more armor over Reinforced, if they are already reinforced, does nothing for you other than waste your crystals. Yes its a good practice to min max properly, but I am taking the time to explain this for you, because in this specific instance of min maxing, there is enormous freedom and wiggle room to move stuff around. I’ve only been playing ESO since last fall, I picked dark elf sorcerer initiate. I’ve gotten through all the campaign stuff that I’ve access to only having the bass game. Anything I encounter now like the public dungeons or world bosses (Vvardenfell), I get squished like a bug can’t seem to survive anything. I’m not sure if there’s anything I can do to create a build that would help me survive wondering if you would have any advice to a player like me.

For all these builds with elemental susceptibility I'm realllyyy curious if anyone has messed around with perfected wrath of elements from vateshrans hollow. Two-piece offers 1148 penetration for perfected and then is procked damage from casting weakness of elements that grants you a tether of flame frost or shock damage.

Hi Red! It works fine in lower arcs (like everything else) but it falls off completely in higher arcs. It's just not worth the gear spot. Hi! I can't wait to try this, one question, why a nord? Just curious since most sorcs are either mag or stam, but this through me for a loop with nord and health, haha. Kinda like a tank. Just wanting to learn more, thanks!

Hi Michelle! Nord is easy to his resist cap freeing up trait options, they also have health and stam which are both needed for survival in any solo content and then ultimate generation which is very impactful just generally. In the archive, your damage comes from the archive's visions and verses, mainly via status effects (Focused Efforts vision). Doesnt matter the build, doesnt matter the set up, doesnt matter the player, the path to damage generation is the same for everyone. So what's left is staying alive. The archive scales upwards, forever, so the more tanky you can be, the further you can do. The actual damage your build does, means very little. The majority of your damage will be coming from status effects. I hope this helps!

Hi there! I havent used that specific combination, but I have Surge on several set ups (some of the 2 and 3 button builds here on KZbin for a more recent example.) It mostly likely would work super well for lower Arcs but the specific issue with that combo in IA is that they are both light armor sets. It's going to be a big factor for higher arcs. You really need 1 (or both) of your sets being heavy to hit needed resist values + all the razzle dazzle from stacked heavy armor passives. I am interested in checking it out for fun though in lower arcs, it does sound like fun haha. Thank you for the suggestion!

Hi Mundyness! I was able to run Leeching on every class in high arcs as the defensive set on every class other than Arcanist where Warrior Poet is going to be better for the set up. Other than the Warden's new set up, you can use it for every other class with no problems. Leeching should be on the website currently for at least a few classes IA builds.

I have this on my short term list to check out for everyone again now that the PTS is back on NA. I should have some answers soon'ish for everyone on the alternative set ups and more information. Regarding rotation, there really isnt one here. It's very dynamic. Keep everything dotted with ele sus, use the kills mentioned in the vid to place and move pillars as fights shift around, and use ele sus as a spammable after about 3x focused efforts or so. It's very flexible and dynamic. You dont be doing the same loop of abilities over and over really.

Hi Kyle! Here is what I have been responding to people with regarding this: The PTS swapped over to EU right after posting this build. It's not possible to test builds in IA on the opposite region server without re-grinding all the Archive perks. I had just made a community post here on youtube as well right before it happened. I had spent quite a bit of on the PTS cleaning up the build for vma/vate and then a parsing set up for dungeons. Just eyeballing the written guide real quick, other than the diseased enchant on the weapon there likely isnt going to be a ton of changes. It works exactly as it does in the vid still. The main things I wanted to do, was try other set options out to pair with the class set, and play around with weapon/traits enchants, so there isnt a ton left to do really. ___ As it is posted on the site (cleaned up slightly with some of the above suggestions), that is the exact version I would take into the Archive today, to continue play testing it. So you should be totally good putting it together and trying it out. Other than maybe an ability in specific situations and maybe a weapon trait/enchant, I don't predict too much changing from here, other than alternative sets to try out and suggest (of which I was able to play test zero other sets, so there are tons of options out there to consider for people).

Ah man, painful lol. In the community tab I had showed where I spent a good bit of time on the set up making a dps version, a regular solo version, etc. and then I lost it all when the PTS moved to EU haha. It’s back now so I can take a look sometime. I don’t remember off hand but I do remember it wasn’t anything complicated. Usual stuff, divine traits. Thief mundus. slime 1 pc., etc.

It was so unusual of a set up and so much was going on then with IA builds I can’t really remember. I’ll let you know as soon as I can get on the PTS with it but I would keep medium and light in divine traits and any jewelry/weaps you get for now. Sorry I couldn’t be of more help. 😅

It does! I put a post on the community tab a while back, I had went hard into this build and made a parsing set up, a solo set up for outside IA, a group pve set up. I was about to make one of my bigger videos on it. Then the pts swapped over to EU and I lost it all lol. If you haven't grinded the quests in IA on another server, you dont get the increased visions and verses and whatnot. So its impossible to test the back half of a run unless you do all that and I didn't have the time. So its legitimately been sitting there since this video haha. It still works more or less exactly like the vid currently as well. However, I did clean up the written guide slightly with a few changes I remembered before the change. So I would check that and then you are good to go.
