Screenshots looked like legit doom engine with f×××ing chex cereal skin on top... and apparently shipped long before doom modding community ever even existed. Hello! creator of Hell Crusher here, feels almost surreal seeing this video, I remember way back finding your channel and learning about some of the most inspirational creations from your videos, mostly pillow blasters stuff; Russian Overkill, Trailblazer and Guncaster, they probably remain my top favorite game-play mods. I was greatly inspired by them and playing lots of Doom eternal to make Hell Crusher, I wanted to do something like what pillow blaster does but much less "silly" I guess, as serious as a demon possessed six barrel shotgun can get, lol. Thanks for making a video of my mod! Also most of Hell Crusher was designed around the concept of quick switching seen in doom eternal a lot, switching before a gun is done cooling down, mainly there to add some sort of skill based thing for people to latch onto, also there are a bunch of bind-able buttons like a quick kick and shoulder cannons in the controls.

Sprite artist for Hellcrusher here (did mostly all of the pickups and some projectile sprites). I personally really love your work and since H3LLW4LK3R (the author) wanted a bit more of a Doom 2016/Eternal feeling with them I used most of your sprites as bases or just really inspired by your art-style! (even though this is mainly my normal one I picked up over a year ago since I started spriting)

The "Mammoth Tusk" looks to be a real handgun, the Pfeifer Zeliska chambered in .600 Nitro Express. No word on whether spinning the real one adds muzzle velocity.

It doesnt add velocity, but it allows to shoot around the corner if you spin it horizontally.

Yes and no? Ive talked to the author and even watched as they built their models in a discord server we used to share. The model is all original and made in blender. As for what its based off of I have no clue, but you might be close.

@TwistedGamer That power fantasy gets boring real quick sometimes. Sure it's fun to play once in a awhile, but I'm more likely to play a game that provides a decent challenge for longer rather than a mindless shooter where strategy is thrown out the window.

@TwistedGamer Haven't played dark souls so I can't comment on that but eternal has all these mechanics and tools so that players can master and use them to overcome the challenges in the game. However I completely get that it's not for everyone and is why a lot of people prefer doom 2016.

This mod would be insane in multiplayer death match, hope the developer gets the issues with that sorted out in the next update but at least the mod does work in Zandronum, so that's a start.

The Space Pirate looks amazing!! I actually thought those guns were 3D at first. Love that sort of character-driven mods. On the other hand, I also love how commited Icarus is to the "I'm living in the trash now" gag.

Hey Icarus my Fortress OF DOOM mod for Doom 2 just came out in its V0.7, its pretty much doom 2 mixed with Team Fortress 2 but more focused on Deathmatch, it also supports campaign if you desire it. The V0.7 love and gore updated was a big leap for me to make actually adding in TF2 textures and giving the game some good gore (Deathmatch) and some more polish that it needs.

If the six barrels on the six barreled shotgun revolved as it fired, it would be whats called a pepper-box firearm. But from the looks of things they don't revolve. Though the multiple barrels does make it a volley gun.

I'm so damn glad The Space Pirate is back in action. I actually thought it went the way of Project MSX in that it would no longer be updated anymore. I hope they keep the multiple shells like in the early versions. It's a fun gameplay mod that is up there with High Noon Drifter and Lithium.

And when he says .50 cal shell, he doesn't mean .50 caliber handgun cartridges like the .50 Action Express, he means .50 caliber rifle rounds, as in the .50 BMG cartridges. Funny enough in real life there are a few beech loaded handguns that fire .50 BMG rounds, one of them is the Triple Action Thunder prototype.

One thing I'd like to see introduced in Space Pirate is some physics. Like, when you punch and kick an enemy and it's just keels over, can be somewhat anti-climactic. When an enemy dies from a kick, it should be sent falling backward, off ledges, etc. Nothing fancy, doesn't have to be full 3d model, but just some backward momentum when they die from a melee attack.

If you want an idea of how weird a 4th dimensional being would look to us, just like at DOOM Fighters and remember the demons are 2 dimensional beings fighting a 3 dimensional one. That's as weird to them as a 4th dimensional being would be to us.

Dealing with Devil is like Russian overkill but kind of accurate to lore and without nonsense...(yet) Or guncuster without so many combat options Mayby serious sam in doom?:) And mayby this is better that bfg isn't so strong because to easy isn't funny to...even in russian overkill Only with fast monsters, monster nightmare reflex and woth maps of chaos I play like this xp doom...and this is how that mod should be played to...but doom fighters needs some work on enemies...because hitscan enemies where heavy movment isn't what you want Same problem what with eternal slayer! Mayby they fixed it because last time when i checked was where acceseble is crucible, double barrel shotgun and pistol

For some reason, Hell Crusher doesn't load to me. Im using GZDoom, and when i try to open the .pk3 file with it, it says "error" with the file. Dunno if it's something with me or if the mod page has the wrong file or something. pls help.

Honestly, I'm tired of overpowered weapon mods. Novelty wore off long ago. They're not saying anything Russian Overkill haven't said already. Behold, we have 6-barrel shotgun and there isn't even an option to sextuple-wield it. Come on, the word even has "sex" in it, and they missed the opportunity. How is it even possible to miss anything when you have a six-barrel shotgun?
