Why do black male superhero/fighters always have mechanical arms/bodies? Jax seems like the earliest one. There's also Cyborg, and now there's Doomfist. In trying to look this up, I couldn't find a list of them; instead I found a trope about black people being electricity-based superheroes. But the cyborg body is worse because it's nothing more than an ability to smash and punch, which is an awkwardly racist superpower to give a black man.

I did read a piece a while ago about how there's a tendency when depicting black male superheroes to find ways of dsexualising them,in an attempt to alleviate white fears based on the gross stereotypes surrounding black sexuality. ... That's pretty interesting to think about. Cyborg ... is by far the oldest example, but given how much Jax and TJ Combo were part of popular video games. It is interesting that TJ Combo does revoke the metal bits in the lasy entry, and plays more as the black exploitation lead character. I do want there to be enough good black characters that having a few be cyborgs ... doesn't bring this up. ... At least Big Band has the excuse of most of the other characters being just as warped as him.

The contents of loot-boxes is Overwatch is decided at the time of acquisition, not opening. So there is no way you could have gotten a Doomfist skin from loot boxes you got prior to his release.

Dark Souls 3 is literally nothing more than a less interesting, more linear Dark Souls 1. There is almost nothing to analyze that a good Darks Souls 1 video doesn't already do.

No Ascetics, no being invaded while hollow, no powerstance, no bosses that are made easier by exploration of the environment, No really interesting stories. The Iron and Ivory kings are some of the best stories I've seen in gaming. We don't have any thing of that level. the best we can do is Gael, maybe Seigward.

Real talk, I think Doomfist is good, he's just not good at the things we thought he'd be good at. He's great at protecting the backline and punishing flanker heroes who want to dive into your supports. He's pretty good at getting the occasional flank and killing an isolated hero. However, when he debuted, everyone (including me) thought he'd be a great new dive hero who could swoop into the enemy team, take out their supports, and jump out again. Ended up not really working out that way, because he has a massive hitbox and his mobility options are also his fighting options. You can save your rising uppercut as an escape button, but there are a lot of heroes who can still follow you. Add in his massive hitbox, and he can be focused down quickly. Even with shields, he doesn't have the health to sustain in that kind of fight. Stay with your team so you can more easily pick fights and he's quite strong. He's just not very good if he gets isolated, unlike Genji or Tracer.

I remember when Blizzard first released this character and was like "This is Doomfist, please take him seriously" and the fans were like "even though he looks stereotypical, he actually has deep lore" as if that makes up for him looking like a lost Mortal Kombat character rejected for being too insensitive.
