Why do so many people believe that the colours red, white and blue are the property of and refer specifically to their own country? Red, White and Blue could refer to the US, who use that phrase a lot, France, the Netherlands, Britian or even Russia, and a huge number of other countries. And now we can finally see clearly. Even mild social democracy will never be allowed by liberal parties. Even trying to work with rackets like the Democrats or Labor isn't just a mistake, it's a trap to capture radical energy and the desire for change and harmlessly diffuse it in service of capital. Update 1 year & 3 months on: The situation is dire. The death squads patrol the streets during the day looking for anyone wearing a beard or riding a bicycle, as to them it's a sure sign that they've found a Muslim or a Lefty snowflake. At night they raid people's homes seemingly at random, dragging entire families out into the streets & questioning them on their British heritage at gunpoint - mostly by asking them to name their favorite cast member of Love Island, or whether Farage is pronounced "Faraj" or "Fararge" - death toll currently unknown. The traditional legal court system has been abolished & replaced with public hanging, dictated by mob rule mostly comprising of chavs wearing more secondhand clothing than a Glaswegian Oxfam. Council housing has been entirely abolished & replaced with B&B foodbanks, further fueling the tory belief that the working class is better off than ever, since foodbank usage = a strong community, in the eyes of the right. When the death squads found Lyra hiding in the left-wing sanctuary located underneath her local underpass, they tried to make her an example of by burying her beneath a pile of (long out of print) Guardian newspapers & dousing her with lighter fluid, only to decide not to waste the gas since Great Britain's Kremlin overlords have fuel tariffs set at 2000%, as punishment for refusing to adopt the Cyrillic alphabet & not placing an Orthodox patriarchal cross (☨) atop the Salisbury Cathedral Spire (which extends upwards to a height of 123m, making it a very popular tourist attraction all across Russia!) Making a hasty getaway through the bushes & into the long abandoned local ASDA, she noticed that the George clothing section was left mostly untouched by the Post-Brexit Troubles & the ensuing looting - laying in a pile in the middle of the aisle was a pair of Adidas tracksuit bottoms & a North Face jacket. Realizing that if she didn't want to stick out like a sore thumb, Lyra quickly threw on the gear and headed out towards the rear entrance of the supermarket. However as she pushed the security bar inwards to open the doors outside into the adjacent alleyway, the building's security alarm was triggered alerting the nearby death squads to her position... As the trembling of the death squad's boots hitting the ground approached, Lyra soon realized that she had no chance of survival against such an overwhelming force, and deciding that taking flight would be the best call of action she promptly jumped straight through the window of an old Cash Converters (which in the Pre-Brexit era used to be a bit like a normal secondhand shop, except every item you bought you had a chance of finding a bag of ketamine stashed inside) After suffering only minor lacerations to her arms & face, she picked herself up & began to investigate the darkened derelict building she had found herself in. It appeared to be packed full with old video games & busted up musical instruments, with an abundance of DVD bootlegs of Murder, She Wrote (seriously, why are there so many of those in every second hand shops?) It was after around 20 minutes of perusing that she noticed a section of the shop sealed off with wooden barricades, with a dim light source shining through the cracks, illuminating what appeared to be walls stacked to the ceiling with various models of old bicycles. With curiosity getting the better of her, Lyra began to break down the shoddy wooden planks only to be startled by the faint voice of a man coming from a darkened corner of the room. She stopped dead in her tracks, and listened closely for any sounds emanating from the pitch black. " *_Riding a bicycle is the summit of human endeavour_* " Strangely soothed by the softness & sincerity of the mysterious voice, she was compelled to enter the room & approach the source of the voice. As she approached the perceived location of the voice, she noticed that there was a sideroom off to the left, lit up by a soft candle glow. Turning the corner into the room, she spotted a cloaked man leaning over an old 1950s bicycle, murmuring to himself. " *_I do not own a car, and my main form of travel to Westminster and in my constituency is by bicycle_* " Lyra mustered up the courage to speak to the man, who appeared to be an older gentleman of an unimposing stature. "What are you doing here? This city is crawling with chavs & deathsquads, there's no way someone of your age can possibly outrun them" she said nervously. The hooded man looked up from the bike & slowly turned to face her, revealing the man she'd seen before featured on posters, adorning the walls of the now destroyed sanctuary - the man with a greyish white beard, unkempt & scruffy hair - wearing a beige suit, sweater & sporting an old ragged miner's cap. " *_I've got lots of stamina; don't worry about that. I cycle every day - it's OK_* " the man confidently replied, and to our protagonist's surprise, this man was none other than the labour leader *Jeremy Corbyn* ... He hands her an armor plated 1970s Raleigh model bicycle, along with a militarized cycling helmet and a 9mm SMG. " *_Cycling is good for people in all ways: their health, their well-being, and it does no damage to the environment. It can, however, be dangerous, and this has to be...addressed_* TO FIND OUT WHAT HAPPENS NEXT FOR OUR LEFT WING HEROES, STAY TUNED FOR PART TWO OF: *_GREAT BRITAIN: BOOTLEG BREXIT_*

Second Update: Around 2 years have past by now. Everything fell apart even more. No water from the pipes, food became rare and worst of all: no goddamn internet. And i thought it couldn´t get any worse than "dire". After teaching me in his ways, showing me how to change everything to less shitty, they got him. They impaled him with a peg and hung him in front a hundred burning pictures of Mao Zedong. He made me believe again. And then he left... I really thought we can change everything, if we just tried hard enough. Apparently a few SMGs and bycicles aren´t enough to win a full grown civil war. Worst of all: we are without any help and we propably won´t get any. Chinese agents tried to supply us with more weapons and men, but as soon as they found out..the button was pressed. No more China. We tried reaching the french left through the tunnels, but without any results (we think they got wiped out) and a lots of losses. Our current plan: finding a ship, travelling to germany. We found an old radio transmitter and managed to make contact with their leader. They call him BlasserDünnerJunge and he may be the last hope we have. Ink has also become something very rare too. They don´t want us to write anymore. So updates will be shorter and less frequent. Let´s just all hope this is going to work out. Lyra

I find this rather refreshing as an American. It's still a mess, but at least it's a somewhat competent and policy focused one. Your system is also infinitely better than ours. Everything from the conditions for winning to multiple powerful parties is just better. I'm starting to wonder if we should have ever dumped that tea into the ocean and maybe waited it out to a more progressive and less scummy Britain.
