Now imagine: Spawn vs Doomguy in Mortal Kombat And for Doomguy's fatalities (these are just my own interpretations): 1st fatality: uses his double barrel shotgun and the quad miniguns and transport the enemy through a portal to a crater in Mars and Doomguy then activates the BFG 9000 thus drilling a hole in Mars and erasing the enemy as Doom walks away after that 2nd fatality: grabs the enemy with his wrist blade and drags him to the hell arena (whete doomguy started killing demons left behind to fight the giant shield demons (i forgot the name and as the two demons crushes the enemy, doomguy jumps in and slices the 3 living things infront of him and planting his sword on the head of the enemy

As a long time fan of both franchises, that's like dream coming true. And given Doomguy's nature, it's safe to assume he will be a very up close and personal character. That being said, I can see him using his weapons as special moves, like his Super Shotgun's Meathook to close the distance to the enemy. Kinda like reverse Scorpion's spear!

they said in interviews that they still have more stories to tell with the slayer, for example, we still don’t know who yelled “no” when we killed the khan maykr, and it sounds like we made something or someone mad, so there’s definitely gonna be a new game eventually, but they’re probably taking a break from doom after releasing 2 bangers. i’d say wait for quakecon and see what they’re cooking up.

While his rip and tear antics would fit well in Mortal Kombat and I believe it is possible he would step into the series eventually, we also would most likely see him in Killer Instinct if a new one were to get made in the future, considering Bethesda and Rareware are both in home territory for Microsoft, not to mention that Mick Gordon also worked on KI's Soundtrack for it's first two seasons before moving onto Doom 2016. But regardless of what happens, there is no denying he deserves a spot on the roster of several fighting game franchises, and I wish that was an arms race the industry would be willing to commit to.

Doomguy can be a zoner if they make him use his guns. Also the new game lets the characters speak like one line in the dialogue scenes so it doesn't matter if Doomguy speaks or not. I don't think the leak is real because it says that Kano is part of the DLC but he's already a Kameo fighter. Rain is listed as a DLC Kameo fighter when he's already base roster. So I think this leak could be fake since it has too many DC characters listed and the reasons I've stated above but it would be great to have Doomguy on the roster

To be fair rain is a playable fighter in the base game, the pack says he'll become a Kameo fighter same with Kano as he's only been seen as a Kameo but not as a playable fighter. so there's still a chance for it to be true but only time will tell us.

I feel like him not speaking in intro scenes and fights would fit much better, i mean.. he could just only have lines in fatalities, replicating the final scene from doom eternal where he does finally speak. I imagine other characters asking in the intro scene if he feels pain or if he fears anything, only to get a silent response of him cracking his knuckles or extending the blade on his arm. The best thing about the doom slayer is that he doesnt need words to actually answer a question in that situation, he just shows you it in his actions.

Doomguy wouldn't just be great for MK just for the amount of violent potential but the fighting technique as well. Reasons being, eternal and 2016 Glory kills would make for great brutalities and fatalities, especially if they included guns in those. Obviously the skins are going to look sick. theirs also a 90% chance not every Doom gun/weapon/will be included BUT that doesn't mean nether realm is going to downgrade on what doomguy can do in game.

Honestly, they really should just limit his arsenal to his most iconic weapons - the super shotgun, BFG and crucible blade - just for the sake of simplicity and balance. I can't even begin to imagine the nightmare job it would be to try and balance all of his guns for a fighting game that would be fair but still faithful to how they feel as weapons. The crucible blade and shotgun would be great for combos and mid tier specials (not to mention some really fun and gory Fatalities) while the BFG would be perfect for high tier specials and Brutalities.

If Doom Guy does come to the new mortal kombat game, ill 100% be getting it. either way I probably will pick it up. Some other characters that I think would be cool to add to MK would be as follows (This will likely never happen but even still it'd be sick to see them in MK): War and Death from Darksiders 1 and 2. Frank Castle, AKA The Punisher. I think people are forgetting Mortal Kombat 3 literally added a literal mall security guard as well as old west gunfighter to the franchises roster, both of whom had entiire movesets relying heavily on use of firearms clear back in 1995. The precedent of gun based fighters in Mortal kombat is literally as old as Doom 2's Sega Genesis port.

I always thought doomguy was too quick and efficient to be in mortal kombat and most of the kills that involve guns tend to be a bit boring but i think i could very much be corrected Also he doesn’t talk but that can be fixed with vega or samuel talking for him

also something I've heard some people talk about is how every mortal kombat game has one dlc fighter who teases the next game's dlc characters (mk9 had freddy who teased the horror characters in mkx, mkx had predator who teased the action movies of mk11, and mk11 had spawn who teased the comic characters of mk1) so if they added doomguy, not only would it be very cool, but it could mean that the next mk game could focus on other video game characters for the dlc
