It's good thing to note that this was before Immortal Hulk. Which is funny to mention because in next Hulk matchup when that DID happen, Broly does exactly the same finishing move on Hulk that Doomsday did only for Hulk to say "Nuh uh" and punch away Broly with a body and reconnect the head back to it. It's basically their way of saying "If this fight would be done today, this shit wouldn't fly". The general consensus for this matchup nowadays is a literal never ending stalemate between the two. Doomsday can't die and Hulk is immortal.

Honestly, I would love to see a reimagining of doomsday that interprets him as an antihero. He has possibly one of the most tragic back stories, and I would love to see a version of him who takes that pain and decides “I’m going to make sure no one can suffer like this again“ and is willing to do whatever it takes to preserve life in the universe, even if he has to take lives to do it. He will be the Doomsday of all who threatened the innocent

​@Stargold-w9m still, the way they went about it doesn't quantify him from being unkillable on the show. He can still die by brute force, just a different kind. Superman using brute force wasn't able to work on doomsday, but some other random kyptonian that's weaker was able to use it to kill him, and even if he could come back, hulk could just get stronger and stronger each and every single time. If you had doomsday's powers and you got hit killed by getting hit by a car that was going twenty, that doesn't mean that that you wouldn't then be killed by a car going eighty. Even if he was inevitably able to come back, hulk putting doomsday down would still count as a win.

Well to be fair, the Hulk's body originates from Bruce's. The Hulk was specifically an alternate personality that was given a physical form via gamma radiation, so it's not like the Hulk is biologically separate from Bruce. At the very least one can assume that the Hulk is just an extremely radioactive and mutated human.

I think they actually make a really good point on why doomsday would win. Simply put but how is Hulk, a guy whose whole thing is just being insanely strong, going to kill someone who’s already died to by being beaten to death and can’t be killed the same way twice? the only time Hulk could beat doomsday would be if this was set before the death of Superman, and even then that just means doomsday would come back around two and be unstoppable to the Hulk
