To clarify I would just say that the majority of mainstream well known female MCs are as I described above and I think that's what most people are exposed to so that is what they associate with female rappers. The studio version is the best run of it out of multiple attempts on a verse (for hours often). Then, on top of that, it's altered to sound even better. Of COURSE the studio version sounds better. Just like an edited book looks better than a rough draft or a movie with special effects looks better than the live run through...
