Two things: LOVE your sweet southern accent and LOVE the D&B satchel! I own many Dooney florentine bags..but the satchel is special. I have it in the Dipinta painted florentine and it's my prized handbag possession. It competes with the lux house bags all day long. The natural Florentine from Dooney is my favorite. I have the Barlow shoulder in Natural and I love it. I hear you on the price of everything now. There are so many bags I would love to get but I have had to slow down and really choose wisely with everything going up in price. Lovely update on your gorgeous satchel Ashley! I was lucky to find a preloved large natural Florentine on Depop from a seller in Australia, hard to find here in NZ. Still has the Florentine smell😍 At one stage thought to sell but like you, I think will be in my permanent collection..for now😊 Using a wider canvas strap with the same brass/gold hardware and is much more comfortable crossbody. It’s an amazing well-made bag! TFS💛🇳🇿

Hey there! Thanks so much for watching. I mean, to me, yes she is somewhat heavy. However, not so heavy that I don’t wear her. Now I might not would take her out for a full day of shopping. But just day to day she’s fine for me. But I also don’t load her up slap full either. Also, not sure what size you have but if you have the original size you could try the small or if you have the small, you could try the mini. Hope this helps.

Hey Robin! Yes it has def gotten better with time, gotten darker too. Little birthmarks have come out in the leather. It still smells amazing! I conditioned her two weeks ago with Apple Brand conditioner but that’s the one and only time I’ve done anything whatsoever to her. Thanks for watching!

Hi Ashley, I’ve never even seen one of these bags but I don’t buy a lot of bags. Do they pebble overtime? Is that normal? Yours is very smooth and it’s three years old. I’m wondering if I looked at the used one and saw a lot of pebbling what does that mean?

Hey Diane! So here’s the thing with Florentine leather. It’s full grain, which is the strongest/superior leather. It will show natural imperfections such as fat rolls, scars, freckles, etc. Each Florentine item is individual and will never be identical. You could order three of the same item and one of them may be all smooth, the second may be all pebbled and the third may be a combo of both. M bag for instance, is smooth on the front and sides but the back is textured is one spot that’s heavily pebbled. But the texture doesn’t change over time. Hope this helps!

Hey Laurel! Don’t freak out, go back and watch some of the old qvc videos on the flo satchel with Sue Clifton. She notes that the folds come standing straight up but that you have to “train” the leather to fold over and “smile”. And it doesn’t take long either for that to occur. I got mine at an outlet so it wasn’t standing straight up but it wasn’t near as relaxed as it is now either. Just relax and enjoy your new baby!

Yes! Especially Florentine leather is heavy. I don’t have any nylon though. I don’t like the way it feels. If you like leather but want a bag that’s lighter in weight check out Portland Leather Goods. They have really good quality leather products and they’re light in weight because they don’t use a lot of hardware and the bags are unlined.

Hey MJ! I guess that varies by opinion? I feel like there are several things that factor in that though: which size you get, what you carry in it and of course personal opinion. Yes the leather is hearty and substantial. Yes it’s heavier than Saffiano leather. YES the largest size is heavy, to me. But the small isn’t bad to me at all.
