Door Bell Transformer Replacement | Where to find Door Bell Transformer

My door bell stopped working last week and Electricians wanted $300 bucks for diagnosis. I went with DIY route and, i got it working after spending $20 bucks.
Trick is to identify the location of door bell transformer. Once found, its pretty simple to replace. Will probably take 30 minutes of time.

Mine was on the side of my 200A service entrance panel enclosure in my garage. Was already 16 volts.

I found my transformer just like the one in the video attached to the lamp. However, when I opened it, there was one black wire coming from old transformer connected with two white wires. I took black one out and the door bell didn’t work. Then when I connect the black one with the two white wires it worked again. Not sure how to proceed.
