Here it is almost the middle of December and you are able to paint, work outside without a coat or snowsuit. So happy you are able to keep moving forward and providing renovation content in the winter months for us to enjoy. I remember seeing your hands so red from washing your tools outside after tiling, you mentioned how your hands were so cold they hurt. So happy you are renovating in a DIYfferent climate now.

Thanks! We are doing our own DIY restoration on an 1891 castle. We have learned almost everything from watching channels like yours. It is amazing how much information is on this platform. That door looks great!

As a locksmith for the past 20 years, I appreciate you removing the hardware before painting. My inner OCD itches every time I work on locks with paint all over them. And great job squaring the strike plate holes. A little tip on masking hinges to paint…don’t. When the door has three hinges, undo one side of a hinge at a time and paint under it. Screw that side of the hinge back on and keep moving. No need to cut in or mask. Use a screw bit in the drill and it goes quick.

Ashley a woman of few words, when pertaining to work tasks. Doug asks, Where'd that come from? Ashley says, you just started, is that a glob of paint over there by the hinge? to Doug's application of the under the house support hangers, "excellent", then to the outro where Doug asked her if she had anything to add, after a long sigh she says, "no". Your dreaming of being an ice skater in the Olympics Made me smile. So many wonderful green shades to choose from. Very easy to go darker when you decide to. Very exciting seeing each job completed.

That green is great! It’s perfect for FL beach life. Any darker than that you get into more mountain type life. Any brighter you get into neons which I don’t believe you want. I love that color!! I never thought of a green door even though it’s my fave color. That’s so crazy now that I think about it lol.

It’s a beautiful color; it’s difficult to have an opinion about it needing to be darker or not! I would definitely stay in the color circle if you find it’s not as dark as you want! Awesome job, love that green too. Takes 30 days for paint to cure. I've been a house painter for 30 yrs. Pick my brain any time 😁 For future reference, no need to tape your hinges. An artist brush and Vaseline on those hinges works perfect, (and any other item you dont want to get paint on) once paint is dry wipe the Vaseline off with a paper towel. Also helps lubricating those hinges too. I have used it on baseboard tops too when rolling with SW paints (I find SW paint drippy) I'm a Dulux gal 😂 🎄Merry HoHo to you's from Merry Ol Canada eh ! 🥰🎄
