Ok, I'm not going to lie, first time I've ever seen otters and I'm 53! LOL!! I had no idea how big they were, wowzers!! It must be really cool, to have them right there swimming in your pond. Love those black windows - they look great. The privacy glass in the bathroom window reminds me of trying to look out a window that is covered in freezing rain - something you won't have to contend with anymore. Loved seeing that otter - they are so cute.

Oh how cool to have otters!! They are so entertaining to watch! Probably eating the crayfish and maybe fish? Windows look sharp! More than once I have thrown out leftover material I thought I wouldn't need. Of course I have also bought materials thinking I didn't have any only to find some later. And then there's a number of things I know I have but can't find anywhere so end up with several...or bunches in the case of caulk! 😂. I love all the light in your room now, beautiful! 😊👍💖

Hi Ashley and Doug. Not too long ago I went to see a new built home in a gated community, high end house very expensive. You wouldn’t believe how this house was thrown together and the paint job inside and out was pretty bad. Things aren’t built the way they use to be. Now I watch you two going the extra mile to build a high quality home. Your chose on everything is perfect, including the black windows. The bathroom window is called frosted glass, I think. I had a frosted glass door installed in a bathroom to allow day light to shine through into a dark hallway . Maverick is adorable, enjoying life. The otters are cool.

I love the direction you are going with the look of the house. Front door and windows are spot on! Get those stickers off the windows before too long. The outline of the stickers will transfer to the glass and you will never get it to look clear. One of Florida's draw backs to building a home... Remove those stickers 😁

Awesome windows that look beautiful. Always enjoy your videos. Clearing the path to the Orange tree really opened up that area. The sun will dry that soil out in no time. I was amazed how much vines you removed from that area. The otters are very well fed on crayfish and some choice fish. Lol. After reading some comments on otters I found this "Like most wildlife, otters may be hostile when confronted. ... If an otter feels threatened, its heavy, muscular body and sharp claws are enough to overpower pets and small children. Otters can transmit rabies to humans and pets. Immediate medical help is needed for any scratches or bites." Love the windows!

Oh wow you have otters how cool , my Dad had one as a pet in UK when he was a kid and being quite poor he used to do odd jobs at the local butchers / fish mongers tp earn fish to feed it . You should stock you pond with a heap of cheap fish ( some koi maybe ? ) to keep the otters around , they will become quite tame if you sling them some fish regulary too , and their babies are the cutest babies on the planet ..How lucky are you guys to have them living there , do what you can to keep them around it will make some great video footage .

I LOVE the windows!! I'm glad you talked about going with Jeldwen because I remember in the last house you didn't want Jeldwen or Pella or any other box brand. That said, I also remember the hassle you went through to get a different brand that was actually well built while being budget conscious. For the bathroom window, I'm surprised you went with privacy glass instead of installing your own privacy film on the inside. Can't wait to see what your siding choice will be!!! 😁Side note: I also prefer these longer videos because I could literally watch you all day every day 🤭(guess it's a good thing you don't post usually more than once or twice a week, I would never get anything done!)

Jeld-Wen happen to be one of the few brands that had the windows in the style we wanted. They are a fine company. I would never go with Pella though. We did install Jeld-wen in our last home but they were vinyl windows. The privacy glass is just a better option than those vinyl clings in our opinion. We try to avoid vinyl wherever we can because of how bad it is for people, the planet, and indoor air quality. But I suppose it does have its place.
