Thanks for the tip. I'm surprised you didn't remove the hardware from the door. 9 screws are out in less than a minute and you don't have to worry about getting paint on them. Reminds me of people painting around recepticle and light switch covers.

Your video's are always well done, very informative and you do a very good job of explaining the process. Keep up the good work, the house looks great.

Ha!! Thats cool, I,m gonna use that idea this summer. Luv nice tricks like this. One of those things, why didn't I think of that. LOL. Did 6 doors last summer an it was one side per day, flip an repeat. this way one door one shot! Nice.

Thanks for this great and cheap idea. Do you recommend screwing into the top and bottom of external doors? I am concerned with water penetration.

they have door stackers that work very well, the problem with your jig is that onces you done spraying the door theres no way to remove the door and relocated to continue painting.

Not bad . I have a thing about smooth finishes on doors . What type of paint do you spray using a HVLP gun on doors . It's gotta be cheaper than spraying epoxy out of a rattle can.

Excellent video! I have an Hvlp spray gun, what kind of paint would I use to paint the doors? As I'm guessing standard gloss or satin is to thick maybe

Do you think a 1-1/8" thick full lite storm door would bow a bit if set up on this jig for about a week? Your thick door is plenty rigid. Just concerned about a thinner storm door.

What trim paint do you use through an HVLP system? (I’ve found acrylics to be too thick.)

i like your videos pretty good but i think i could learn more if you would come finish the repairs on my house and let me watch. do you mind if i drink a beer while i watch you? thanks

I guess that's good for a door or 2 but what about 20 doors? Shit you would take forever or need lots of saw horses and jigs. But this is good for the couple door guy. Thanks!

Yep, you'd be standing around watching paint dry so you could put the next door on the rig.
