I'll never get over how few people seem interested in Chevelle. This video still only has 10% or so of your channels normal viewers watching it. I did a general KZbin search for "Chevelle Humanoid reaction" the other day, and I didn't find a single video of someone reacting to that song! It's a great song! Thanks for continuing to check out this great band. A few of us are with ya. :)

I always thought Pete's vocal styles were heavily influenced by Maynard....which is a huge reason why I like Chevelle

@@MusicCatsandCoffee Good news is they've addressed this and oddly enough both bands started at right about the same time so they're just awesome in the same way and by complete coincidence. However, they both DO have the same producer.

Yeah!!! I was worried you wouldn’t like it since you haven’t necessarily liked their later heavier sound. I’m glad you will do “Straight Jacket Fashion”. I’m kind of obsessed with it lately. There is a lot of chuggy bass on The North Corridor, so if you can get past Pete not being soft and melodic, you may appreciate it. Dean was still in the band for this album. He left in 2019. Pete played the bass parts on the NIRATIAS album, and they hired Kemble from the band Aeges to be their touring bassist only. There is story behind the GIF you used. They were doing a Q & A, and some fan asked Pete “What’s with the grandpa sweater?” That’s when he did his sweater like that in the GIF and said “My cardigan?” 🤣

I was at a chevelle show in 2017 and Aeges opened for them. I thought that was cool to see a member be a touring bassist for them.

This song was mixed super well, the guitar and bass are synched so well that it sounds like one huge explosion in the chorus, bridge and the ending

That scratchy sound is called a "pick scrape". Where the guitarist turns the pick on it's side and slides it up or down the guitar string(s).

that instrumental part after the 3 "getting out" lyrics at about 9:00 - 940 mark is so friggen Tool but at the same time so well done! I loved this song from the first listen when North Corridor was released. If you love this song, you've got to check out Ghost and Razor off of Niratias. Its VERY similar to door to door but it goes to this whole other place that's like a crazy mix of Audioslave and Tool with Chevelle's spin. Maybe you can put that in the next poll. Looking forward to your reaction to straight jack fashion.

I’m pretty sure the sound you are wondering about at the end is a light palm mute with an up-picking of the lighter strings on the guitar (ex: the g,b,high e strings). I’ve never been the biggest fan of this song as a whole, but that outro is sick!

I'm a bit late to the Chevelle party here, but you definitely need to go listen to their limited releases/bonus songs. One of the best songs they have ever done is "Leto's Headache" You will love it!

I went to the Meet&Greet for this album before a show and asked them their thought on this album. They said they wanted it harder and wanted to have tht creepy kinda horror vibe. I really enjoyed this whole album and glad u did as well. Kinda worried cuz its a bit heavier, i love angry Pete!

@@MusicCatsandCoffee they came a few years ago with Nothing More and got to meet them also. They were all cool and acted like normal people. I talked to Pete and Sam for a couple minutes then they took a pic with all of us and gave us signed merch. Amazing experience and guess whose coming to town with Korn in a couple months? Got my ticket already lol

Without looking up any names, I'm confident in saying that the only brothers still in the current preforming band are the singer and drummer. I assume they hire a bassist for touring?

That entire album is strangely...catchy. That sounds like a dig, it's not. Low-key a favourite of mine although I'm not sure a lot of fans would agree with me.

The mix is very good. But the song is not the best I heard of them. A bit repetitive.
