The sketchy people are the customers who never reply to texts or answer calls

I took 1 order to shop at CVS for 2 items a curly iron that was like $30 and a face make up cleaning product that was around $17 I made sure it was the correct items and even the employee there said it was the correct items. I scanned both items no problem there, i checked out and took a picture of the receipt, and delivered the order without any problems. The next day I checked my ratings and I noticed that my percentage went from 0 to 1.27 % under shopping orders that were wrong or missing. I clicked on it and said 2 items were missing on the delivery and it was the curly iron and the face product item. The dumb part about it is the order was only those 2 items and I recorded my delivery showing those two items been handed to the customer. I called doordash and they said not to worry about it it will go away just keep up the good work. I wanted to send them the video but they said it wasn't necessary smh 🤦 but I still have those two items marked as missing on my shopping ratings it doesn't go away. I really wanted to go to that customer house and curse the crap out of them and I forgot to mentioned that it was a no tip order but I didn't know that at first until I delivered it. The total was like 9 dollars going 6 miles i took it because it was taking me towards my house the ordered said 9 dollars all doordash base pay 0 tip I couldn't believe it. This order got declined alot of times and I was the dummy to take it. Also I still get shopping orders even with that 1.27% been there today I got a academy order for 2 items paying 20 dollars 4 miles easy money and I've gotten a few more last week so I don't think you will be affected by it but it sucks to see that missing items on your ratings especially when you know the customer lied.

Had this happen on a 2 item CVS offer. I scanned both items, they were the correct items, but the customer still reported both items as wrong to get refunded. Then proceeded to berate me in the chat post delivery, sending nasty messages, & outdated photos to try to prove their claim while I’m driving. No way to dispute it, but the derogatory marks fall off your rating after 40 shopping orders. Next time I would call support & insist you felt unsafe delivering to said customer & that you would like to block the customer. They will block the customer for you. I block all customers that either engage in fraud, chat abuse, aggressive pets, or there is anything on their property/location that I interpreted as a safety concern. It usually ends up being for things like customers with unsafe off-road style dirt driveways with giant pot holes, & things of that nature.

Text support and tell them you have an issue with the missing items and the customer is lying about not getting them. I did this about a month ago not really expecting DD to do anything about it but a few days later they were gone. It was a similar situation with about 7 missing items one customer saying they were missing which was a complete lie.

Save a note on your phone and copy/paste as a text to every customer right after you confirm the pickup: "Hey! Quick heads up...the GPS in the app has been messing up today so...might not show my location correctly. Don't worry, I took a screenshot of your address just in case. See you soon!"

I take a picture of everything in the shopping cart and send a picture to the customer in text before checking out.

There are some people out there who are complete scumbags if they know they can get away with it they will try it regardless of what the income level it doesn't matter

Trust your intuition. And avoid low income areas. Every scammer I've encountered came from the same areas with abundant non-tippers

I have more problems out of the nicer areas than I do lower income. Not to mention they're some of the best tippers in low income areas

DD gives us enough room for people who lie. Going to the extreme of all the pictures and screenshots and everything else is just a waste of time. If something is reported not delivered DD takes care of the customer, and our pay isn't effected. They will send us an email and we can dispute it. You can send them 100 pictures proving you had everything and delivered everything but that violation is still going to stay against you until you complete 100 more deliveries then it falls off.

I had a food order the other day from Taco Bell. The delivery wasn't very far away. But it was in a trailer park. I got to the address and dropped the order off on the porch steps by the front door. About 15min later when I'm on a new order, a notification popped up saying they never got their order. I thought it was kind of weird when I dropped that order off because it said leave at the door but it never came up to take a photo of the order. I immediately texted them back saying I left it on the front porch at the address on the order. I never got a text back. And so far nothing has changed on my ratings. I'm not sure if they just went out and found the order, maybe expecting it at a 2nd door? Or what not.. But I was pretty sure they were trying to dodge out on paying for the order... I really hate going to apartments and trailer parks. It's always hard to find and sketchy.

Same thing on Doordash shop. You can't deliver the wrong thing since you have to scan the item to put it in your cart. And no appeal process. Maddening.

"customer is always right!!"---NOT, unreal how many 'customers LIE!! keep the receipts and mark on that receipt the name and address in case it's needed for future issues!, since we cannot give the store receipt to the customer...which is weird!

Take down customers name and address and put next to name " fraud alert " and before accepting order from that customer next time it appears on your phone, if it matches name in your "BLACK LISTED " book; don't accept the assignment to deliver to that same customer because it is a matter of your livihood. Lying customers don't care if you loose your job ; it's about cheating everybody to get something for free at someone else's expense.

This is exactly what I do. I had my first ever PIN delivery and it went south. The good news is that DoorDash apparently sided with me so the jerk decided to rate me 1 star (which a quick chat with support fixed). So now I have a pinned note in my notes app that lists the customer's name and the address. Any time I get an offer in that area, I always tap on the house icon to check the address real quick. If it doesn't match, I accept it.

I've been tip baited/tip reduced several times just lately. At end of month/sketchy customers so I screenshot all info. I know Uber eats & DD aren't going to hav my back!

This happened to me too. Walgreens/Red Lobster to apartments. I took a picture of both bags for one and just marked the other "handed to customer". I was baffled the customer reported it NOT DELIVERED but relieved that I had taken the photo😅. Any weird feeling that you get, remember to take a photo even if it's your direct camera.

I had a customer when headed to the shop and deliver. She claimed that she had ordered three to get a discount of the item so I try to confirm with her how many she wanted she didn’t respond I said do you want the one it was miscommunication and then she didn’t respond about the substitution item. Very frustrating.

Doordash is not dumb. One out of 566 orders is suddenly 90% wrong, they know it is not you. Also if the same customer always says stuff is wrong, they will not be able to order forever you just have to ride the waves

I stopped doing S&D for DD because either a customer will say they didn’t get what they ordered or the don’t tip. I had a customer order 2 12pks of coke from a Dollar General and an ice cream sundae from Baskin Robbins. The offer stated that they wanted it delivered to their door and of course they lived in an apartment. When I arrived, 2 people walked over to my car with phone in hand and stated that this was their offer. I handed over then cokes and the sundae, closed the offer and drove off. Before I could get home, I received a contract violation because I did not deliver the 2 cases of come that they ordered. I immediately sent an email to DD of course refuting the statement and asked if they said that they did not get the ice cream. They never mentioned the ice cream so of course the customer was lying. DD did not remove the violation and it taught me to CYA at all times. Take pictures people!

I can tell when someone is tip baiting or cheap or going to complain when the app says meet outside or get PIN. They wait and hide inside. I already know this customer going to be shady. 😂

I hate customers who lie about order being damaged when they received the delivery undamaged . Customers don't care how they affect their delivery drivers when they LIE ! They cheat everybody involved with their order (merchants, delivery drivers, and company they place order with) ?

Girl, my numbers got soooo fuct cut doordash is stupid and it socks. My under 1% Stat that ur talking about was WELLL WELLLLL above the 1% and nothing happens so don't worry about it. Also, if I were you, call dd and tell them that you want to Block that customer from EVER being able to get you as a driver cuz they lied and you never want to deal with them again. That ought to help your situation if everr it became serious. I have done that one time for. Some biaatch who had me pick up four bags of groceries from wawa. She tried to claim I never delivered it and then taunted me saying she is the one in control of tips and rating me n stuff....I was soooooo pissed. Some of these custos can seriously go screw themselves. Lol Thanks for the vid tho. Good work!!! 👍

Eh had this happened? People paid over 100 dollars for food and were tipped very well. They got food from multiple places and said didn't drop it off enough though I did. I had to go back up to their apartment and take a picture. And the food was going off their doorstep as soon as I walked away. I've been to another place so many times but normally they get less food. I think they spent too much during Christmas. They called me I told them that they needed to call DoorDash customer service.

Wear a HERO GO PRO 8, so you can send footage to the company you work for, just incase customers lie about the delivery you dropoff! Sometimes people lie because they want somebody to get fired or to get something for free, but they can only lie for so long before all eyes are on on them and the customer's account is deactivated. Hopefully all delivery drivers report to the app company and if enough complaints, the customer get deactivated for trying to run a scam.

Correction.. what they consume was not something that they had bought because when you buy something that means paying for something which means they did not so therefore it was not bought... It was stolen on the expense of the driver...

I don't feel sorry for you because I've had several DD drivers literally walk off with my orders after taking a photo on my doormat and one sista didn't even bother driving here just took a photo on the lawn in front of the restaurant and had a feast.
