So… I have been tracking my accepts and declines. I am telling you, the numbers don’t add up. It is not the last rolling 100 orders. They are doing something weird with our numbers and scamming us.

Are you counting stacked orders at the same time (one accept tap) as one or two plus? Dash changed that a few months ago and a lot of people missed that part. One accept or decline in a 10 stop Dicks Sporting goods only touches the AR once. Where if you get one Aldi then a second Aldi two accept taps two offers. I say this getting 80-120 orders a week so I can more easily judge when some will fall off. Yes I can back the numbers up if people don’t want to believe me. Wait till you learn your areas stop light timings. It may only be 1-2 seconds but time is money and stops avoided are gas mileage, wear and maintenance. You will subconsciously time the lights and point to the lights as they turn.

It’s not the last 100 rolling orders. It’s the last 100 OFFERS (and that includes the offers you accepted and the offers you rejected).

Are you counting unassigned offers.. they do. If it matches up to a prior accepted offer it stays the same..if it matches up to a prior decline offer it does still go up but the next time that offer matches up it will be an accepted offer

If your AR is 80% and you decline an order, there is an 80% chance your AR will go down, if you accept an order, there is a 20% chance it will go up.

Not correct. Accepting will NEVER reduce your AR. But, it may not increase it. It depends what you did 100 offers ago.

Earn by time is not even as "bad" as folks are making it out to be. On my end, I like to hit as high as 95% in A/R. Then, I would go into EPO until I go to 85%. Despite my local market is around $15/hr for "minimum wage", my rate manages to hit around $20/hr because of the combination of multiple orders in that "hour" and the tiny amount of tips. Yes, most experiences on EBT don't tip for me, but again, those small tips, and zone exit pay add up.

It takes so long because you accept the majority of orders when your platinum. Days you have previously accepted everything is what your actually pushing through. (Looking at the flip side of this). Overall excellent video.. you absolutely broke it down and nailed it. Completion points go back up after that order you unassigned hits 100th order after it.

No, I agree with you about what you were saying but the only problem I have that I hear what happens to me. They will send me an order and I declined. OK why you send me the same exact order that I just declined twice and now you want to take my points down, so what I do I turn the app off on pause for about five minutes so that order can go to somebody else. I feel like you charging me on the points if I already declined you send it to me again. I declined it again. you keep making my points drop.❤❤❤

Platinum Is a JOKE they make you take horrible orders to keep your rating up. I was a platinum dasher for about 4 months till I couldn't take the bullshit orders anymore. I have not received a single Large order either... my acceptance is around 45% now and I'm making $25/hr or more everytime I dash...

This isn't exactly true in my experience. The higher my acceptance rate, the fewer of these crap runs I see coming across my app. Yes, occasionally there will be a non-tipper in that stacked order, but if the pay fits my acceptance rules for pay per mile and estimated time to complete, I really don't care how those tips ended up in the final pay.

Hi Bentley, my name is Tom I work in the Ocala, Florida market. I got a lateness violation from last weekend yesterday. I am aware of a situation where heavy traffic and roadwork was the reason. DD is not immediately informing dashers. Nor will tell you where the violation happened. customer service tell you anything and pretend that they do not know which would be more helpful if they did so a dispute can be issued properly. Regardless, I still told them what happened, also they need to take into consideration that my GPS and customers putting the wrong address to where they want. The food delivered to is also a hindrance. Just wanted to throw this out there.

AR rating is SIMPLE ppl ! If it's a rolling 100....... when u hit decline on a order your rating will only drop if you replace a accepted order with a decline. And your acceptance rate will only go up if replace a declined order for an accept. You have to wait a hundred deliveries in order to replace that number. It's not a percentage. And occasionally we get ghost orders.

The law of large numbers may also have something to do w/few bad ratings having a more detrimental effect on an overall rating than the same number of positive ratings. Same applies to UE

Great advice as always 💪🏼 NOTE: When you do a lot of EBT over a few shifts keep in mind that when you go back to EPO you can expect your AR to go down with pretty much every decline. To help balance things out I make sure to decline 2 out of 10 offers when doing EPO. That way when I go back to EBT I know my AR will go up. TLDR: If you do a lot of EBT, be sure to sprinkle in some declines on the days you do EPO. 💪🏼

I have 81 deliveries and was 61%. Accepted 4 orders and it only went up 1%. When I'm under 100 deliveries, each one should be at least a point.

They start you out at 100% if you decline your first order you go down to 99% they are giving you freebies from the jump so no matter what you will always be going down by 1% per order denied in the beginning. If you deny your first order you will have to wait 100 orders for that first order to fall off.

Real advice coming your way. If you are going to suffer on EBT to bring up your AR to 80%, then why not suffer a little bit more and get it up to 100%? Then cherry pick from 100 down to 95%. Then do earn by time until you reach 100%. Wash, rinse and repeat.

That is a rolling 100 offers not orders. Double offers do not count as 2 orders completed anymore, it counts only as 1.

Sure it does, I get 2 completes if its a double stack order all the time. However for AR it only counts as one. But you certainly get credit for every drop off Say you get a stack of 5, it only counts 1 towards AR, but it counts 5 for CR (completion rate),

I'm not a new dasher but reminders always useful. Already things i'd recommend but its not bad to broadcast it. Especially during slower hours EBT and all it comes with it just works, keep your rating for right time right place sort of stuff, be picky. With that said i wish there was more EBT time slots in more zones but get creative you can manage

In the four yrs I have been dashing, it has always been the same. Never have I seen you being able to decline 2 or 3 and only lose 1 point (%) Now about a yr ago, they would send you a stack of 5 to 9 orders, and if you declined it would drop you for all orders (so 5 to 9%). Now if they send you a multiple stacked orders, it only counts as 1 decline.

In order to be Platinum in NY you need acceptance rate of 80%. ....... Which is crazy ... I am kind of in a wierd spot not the worst not the best where I did 30 dashes as a new dasher almost exactly a year ago when acceptance rate did not matter so out of thoes 30 15 of them were declines then I took a year break until just last week. Now earn by time is no longer available in my area so I just have to accept every order when it is hot and i can dash knowing I am not making anything until thoes last 30 orders start dropping off where all of my declines are going to be.

The point of a higher AR is the hope of better paying offers, which *should* mean a better hourly or per mile payout, correct? My question is does that happen? You may get some bangers, but do you also still get trash offers with your high AR? I think you do. And you have to accept most of them to keep that high AR. And those bring your hourly or per mile pay down. Down to the same level that I get with a low AR, I dare say. And if that is the case, is the high AR worth it? In the eyes of DD, yes. In my eyes, no!

So in California, platinum status starts at 80%.Acceptance rate 97% completion rate and at least a hundred deliveries in a past month. In the past 87 deliveries, I have accepted 87. Delivery is with 0 declines. Took my acceptance rate from 66 to 89.😊 But two of the orders I had to cancelso dropped my completion rate from 98 to 96 So now that I finally made it to about 80% acceptance rate. I still don't have. Platinum status or gold stat is because I need at least 97% completion rate. TOO funny just my luck

You must be in a great market place, I had 84% AR and I was getting $7 for 14 miles all the time and only making around $120 a day, my AR is now 28% and I make $120 a day. In my market place it's an absolute scam, I only got 1 large order/catering job maybe 1 time month if I was lucky. I tried earn by time once and it was absolutely gross, terrible offers taking me into neighborhoods where i would legit be killed and my body never found again. I get that it all depends on market places but I live in the 2nd largest city in NY and I find it hard to believe most market places are better than this 1.

@@bradness33 the nyc market is only good for the best dashers and there’s a ton of competition. I live in a bit of an anomaly area, I make around 25-30 an hour but I’m the best in my zone by far. Now the area I live is is a moderate population, university town; however unlike a majority of university towns where the general population is relatively poor, the population is mostly upper middle class. The students also don’t dash because they are getting money from their rich parents while they attend the Christian University. I’ll do 10 orders an hour because they will order to the dorms so I’m driving a couple miles for decent money during a rush. Then during slower times I’m spending my time running orders about 6 miles away to a few neighborhoods where the average price of a home is above 1.5 million. It’s 3:55 am right now and I’m on break. I go out from 7pm-3amI break between 3am and 5:30 am then go back out for breakfast. From 5:30-9am. I would rather have my market than nyc, why? 1: Lower cost of living meaning people with money are more inclined to spend it. 2: I have a higher percentage chance of landing the best orders because there’s very little competition. DoorDash is paying a ton to advertise on indeed in my town specifically because they are very short on drivers here.

Possibly, because I stg the only special thing about Platinum is being able to Dash Now whenever. Now depending on the market, there may be other reasons one is willing to kill themselves to stay above 70%. But in my opinion, AR still isn't that important-especially if you're able to same-day schedule. (BTW check often bc times will get added constantly throughout the day.)
