Video Recorded on May 21, 2024: With @Skyvator92/@elevatortimes. If I don’t recall correctly, I think Hanny‘s birthday is today, so I think I might’ve saved this one for the best. Anyways, this was originally a regular department store before it was converted into clearance center department store. Considering that this elevator isn’t public anymore, I had decided to leave the location private which means that you please do not say in the comments where this is as a lot of you guys may know already where this is at anyways as we nearly got off on the wrong floor by mistake. Thankfully, we weren’t surrounded or anything like that. Oh and notice how EXTREMELY HARD AND LOUD the doors slammed when they close! Door operator seriously need adjustments. Startled me the first time I heard it slam. Lastly, I also don’t know if I were to tell you this, but it is safe to say that this is probably the oldest current department store elevator here in the entire Lone Star State that is completely still original as I testify. The rest of them were all either demolished, closed, have since modernized and/or replaced their elevators, etc. I think Barton Creek Square Mall in Austin, TX still have some completely original elevators in their department stores that are still public and you could easily ride, but I think that mall now hates photography based on what I’ve heard from @AmericanMetroElevators. 2-3 other enthusiast have also gotten busted before, and one of them nearly did so well. Luckily for me, I didn’t waste my time going there when I left from Austin to Fort Worth especially when I was in Austin for such a short time, but managed to get a good amount of updated videos there. Installed in 1975.
