I've always considered wrestlers thee most complete & athletic athletes in the world. The best combinations of strength, endurance, quickness & flexibility
@steverogers7601 Жыл бұрын
I’ve done boxing, BJJ, wrestling, judo , Muay Thai, and karate, and out of all those martial arts, wrestling the toughest and most physically demanding. Boxing was brutal on your head but you can find moments of rest in between. Judo was unassumingly violent and those slams really do damage over time. BJJ also took a toll on the joints but you could also find moments of rest in between. I’m currently focusing on muay Thai primarily because of my dad bod and wanting a workout while also learning techniques and not being labor intensive. Wrestling was always go-go-go, and you were constantly moving and pushing, and rarely resting in between.

For regular people,even getting their toes accidently hit on something is very painful for a while, just a light, playful punch to the nose can make one teary-eyed and unable to see anything for a while. Fighters dont seem to be that affected by thing like these like regular people. Do they train themselves to bear pain?
@jesuswept8522 Жыл бұрын
@@RedSpicyFeast1010yes and no. Hard to explain, but you get better at handling it. The level of pain required to make you stop and roll over and writhe is higher. @retrac3147 Жыл бұрын
@@pio7763I don’t know what your sport is but when your running and your feet feel like falling off, your gasping for air, you’re dripping sweat, your knees are bruising, and your coach tells you to do jumping squats, life gets a lot easier. That school presentation, or taking a risk, or doing anything that makes you uncomfortable is easier because you’ve done something you didn’t want to do which is push yourself to your limits. You’ve made it through hell so nothing can be worse. I only like wrestling practice about 45 mins in and then the rest is brutal. Maybe if you like your sport so much (or you aren’t training hard enough but I’m not going to just assume that) that it doesn’t seem super hard to so therefore everything else doesn’t get easier. What I DIDN’T hear and is also important is WHERE they are born and raised. I believe the region and its history has made them tough to even live there, whether you’re into sports or not. That mentality is ingrained in them and the training brings it out and sharpens it. Khabib would have been a beast outside of sports as well.

@rajatmahaar12 We have better leg attacks. There's a reason wrestlers are so dominant in the ufc compared to other grappling arts. There is nothing wrong with Judo. In fact, judo bjj and such are all great martial arts, but generally, wrestlers are better. I mean, Bo Nickel just walked into a bjj place, steam rolled everyone, then left, and it took Gordan Ryan 20 minutes to submit him even though he had basically never done bjj.
