In sorting out the links for this video just before publishing, I noticed there were other deleted scenes we missed! Ugh. Anyway, at the time of writing this comment, I just put the video out, so I have no idea how interested people are in this reaction. If ya'll would be interested to see us react to the other deleted scenes I missed, just vote this up! If it gets enough upvotes, we'll definitely do that reaction!

About "Do it yourself", that guy was the guy (Iron gang leader). So basically, Wenwu let him go but that backfired because he came back for revenge and his wife got killed.

I feel a little for Florian getting most of his dialogue scenes cut, but on the bright side his character got to live instead. Now he can return in The 10 Rings series and/or Shang-Chi sequel. I feel that probably works out better for him having a more long term role.

I kind of hope they back door him from "Razor-Fist" to "Iron-Fist" with a Ta Lo artifact. not to be Danny Rand but to be another Iron fist. The rivalry is already on screen so this could ease into a love hate relationship.

Razor fist didnt Die in the movie. He was in the post credit scene handeling the ten rings roganisation under shang chi's sister.

We'll probably get to see more of Razorfist later on because they completely scrapped his death. They have him a lot of debth to make his death more heartbreaking but they don't need that if he stays around.

For the clip "Do It Yourself" 10:47, the man in captive is the leader of the Iron Gang and the said gang killed WenWu's wife. The reason why this scene is striking is that as much as WenWu wanted to kill the Iron Gang, he didn't because I guess when the man said his whole family was killed, that Wenwu reflect that in a way it juxtaposes his own predicament. There's a slight mercy. I don't know that's what I saw.

Except, timeline wise, this scene predates Wen Wu meeting his wife. His right hand man from the movie's intro was still alive, which means this was from before Wen Wu travelled to Tao Lo for the first time (since his righthand man died there). So Wen Wu killing the Iron Gang leader's family is actually the cause for the same man coming back years later to kill his wife. His wife's death is very much a consequence of Wen Wu's own actions, and instead of reflecting on that, he doubled down and went full berserk not only on the remaining Iron Gang, but also on his own children, by turning them into assassins. This scene actually shows that for as sympathethic as we might see him because he's portrayed by Tony Leung, Wen Wu is an unredeemable character for not owning to his own mistakes and keeping blaming others for his own consequences.

I can't believe y'all didn't understand/feel the "Do it yourself" scene 💀 Yes, it's alright to be cut out because it's mostly exposition BUT it makes his character arc much more powerful. We saw him kill mercilessly but this scene gives him much more depth. He doesn't just kill to avenge his wife but enjoys torturing his victims. It also shows how killing all these men doesn't help his grief at all. So much that killing another one doesn't seem like enough and he has to find a way of giving himself more satisfaction. But it's all useless in the end because his wife won't return.

Um...I think that scene is before his romance with Lin. That guy he let go was the Iron gang leader. So basically, he let him go and caused Lin's death in the future.

In the "Do It Yourself" scene, there were some very good easter eggs going back to Iron Man, but ultimately I agree--it was justified being cut.

The 'do it yourself' actually adds something, because that is the leader of the iron gang, the same gang who killed Shang Chi's mother. Either he killed the leader and that's why those mobs killed her, or they killed her first, and that's why he's killing their leader.

She didn't have a scratch on her, so I think it might be to defend her children she did some sort of Might Guy 8 gate unsealing to defeat the gang but ended up dying. Or they just chickened out showing realistic violence that would kill someone.

12:12 i think this part is showing one of the powers of the ten rings. I believe one of them in the comics controls suggestion or some trait and this compels people to do something they normally wouldnt do, so maybe it served as a blink and you’ll miss it reference.

So I’m a bit late to the party, but for the deleted scene with Wenwu and the Iron Gang boss; it’s taking place before he went to Talo, linking in his involvement with Iron Man’s start in the Middle East and the Iron Gang to the death off his wife later. He also refuses to kill the guy at the end because he doesn’t think he’s even worth killing. It’s mean to be the ultimate insult.

Wenwu was going through a phase where he had lost his family and was literally going through his own death slowly(symbolically represented his life without his loved ones) it's torture for him So he thought, that man should do it himself meaning kill himself with the agony of losing his family

Do it yourself scene I got two things from it.......1st the mention of Raza who was the leader of the ten rings faction from iron man 1 and 2nd thing was.....Wen Wu lost his wife who was everything to him and he knows how punishing it was to go on with his life without her and he imposed the same punishment to that gang leader!!! Honestly I think with some great BGM this scene could have been better !! It had some deep meaning!!

These deleted scenes were dope ! Agreed that they did Florian Munteanu (Razorfist) a bit dirty, since it would have totally brought some depth to his character. But especially the brother sister one, on their mother's shrine. It was one of the very rare scenes where both Simu and Meng'Er could have a dramatic moment without having Tony Leung or Michelle Yeoh stealing the spotlight, and it would have made the character of Xialing that much more relevant to the story (she kind of have a desert's crossing after the fight on the building all the way until the end when she's riding the dragon, where she basically becomes invisible to the plot, and this scene would have re-established her as one of the main character we should actually care about, and give that much more weight to the finale, when she's about to be eaten, and her brother refuses to let her go). The scene with the Iron gang leader "Do it yourself" feels unnecessary, but would give a bit more depth to that leader who would later avenge his family by murdering Wen Wu's wife, which would have been a good illustration of causality ( "you reap what you sow"), with Wen Wu essentially extinguishing that leader's whole family... only to be robbed of his own family years later by the same man (first by having his wife killed, then having Wen Wu turning mental to his kids, training them to become heartless assassins, essentially destroying what little family ties he has left with them). Also, about the rarity of Asian male leads kissing onscreen, I remember having heard somewhere that when Romeo Must die with Jet Li and Aliyah came out in 2001, there were some test screenings with a version where the 2 kiss at the end of the movie, and people were actively so revolted by it they left the theater while seeing this, prompting the studio to reel it backwards, and cut the kiss scene altogether... that kind of shit has been going on forever and it's just sad, man ! Glad that Simu's next movie IS gonna be a romance movie. Simu for the save !

Shang-Chi needs an extended cut. Or an alternative cut. I mean, Im assuming the directors final cut is what we got upon release, but a lot of these story points -especially the scene of Shang and Zialing finally talking to each other without their dad or Katy in the room, I'd always wanted to see a scene between them and I got my wish. Also......a Disney+ series detailing the history of the Ten Rings? Sign me up, yesterday!

The Romanian big guy did not die in the movie. He was shown at the ending, with Xialing, being her new right hand man, and building her own empire Yes allot of these scenes were good though. But most of it. did not fit in the movie anymore, or would have been too much. But im glad they also decided to skip allot of the heavy romance related scenes for both of them. And comparing it to Pepper and Tony. We all know where this is heading to. I think their best scene was when Katy was upset, and basically forced herself to go to China, and demanded he tell her everything on the plane. That already for me solidified them as a couple.

I will say the scenes on their own are amazing. But I do see why they cut them out. Each one has a justified reason. Especially when you know the themes they want to carry through the story. It's distracting with Razorfist at the table, it takes away from the family. The Scene with the hostage and Mandarine was about the ten rings small leader raza in 2008's Ironman. But we already get that at the dinner scene. Just my two cents. I feel like if you add them to the movie, they seem to overflow the plot with the same material they cover in the film. Yes this gives more context to these characters, and I think we will see more from Razor fist in the future. He didn't die. Great video, keep up the great work.

Don't get me wrong these are all really cool scenes and in some way I still wish some of this information was given to the audience. Especially the iron tie in stuff.

If you watch deleted scenes of any movie in history , you will always feel the same: "That should have been in the movie". It happens all the time. The filmmakers are aware of that but they have to make certain choices.

Jaby has some deep AZN Identity vibes. If they're going comic book, Shang Chi ends up with domino. This movie has a lot in it and he says it's slow, it would be worse carrying a romantic story line. If they want to introduce a romance, the next one would be better. This one is full of family drama. Also wouldn't the AZN Identity further complaint be that it's Awkwafina. I'm pretty sure the director and writer thought on that angle as they did take time to subvert lots of other tropes. If they do they'll do something like pair Simu Liu with Zazie Beetz oir maybe change it and pair em with someone else new like Hailee Steinfeld. Edit: The trouble with a lack of representation is a single movie had to 'represent' so much. However other movies are doing the work you think should be done here. IE Crazy Rich Asians, Love Hard, etc...

Most of the scenes like the first one were trash and cringe. The scene where he told the man to "do it yourself" fits because the he knows exactly how that feels but the difference is that there's no way for the man to get his revenge (all his family plus gang members were killed, plus he can't fight him with those rings).
