Met a girl, understood her from the moment i saw her. She was short, blonde, full of humour and art, she played violin, piano, painted and all. She had a hard life, hardest i ever heard of, it gave her an angry mind but loving soul and gentle blue eyes. I fell for her instantly. She woke up in hospital and I was late, by the time I arrived, on the phone to her parents with all her stuff to sit with her, she in her anger thought i had abandoned her, said whatever she said to the police, she couldnt even remember what. I spent that night in a cell because of her anger. When i got out, no contact allowed said detectives. For either of us. No closure, no communication, just scilence. This song reminds me of a girl I dated all throughout middle school and half of highschool. I remember the first time I met her in grade 5 I asked her if she was dating geoff and she said "why are you jealous?" I said no, but I was so damn jealous... I didn't treat her the way I should have, now she has a family and a husband and I miss those days but what can you do? I suppose the best thing is to move on.
