Fun fact Varnae is named for Varney who is, sometimes, considered the first fictional vampire by modern vampire myth standards. Folklore predates him but he's the one where we get two fangs, dual puncture marks, etc. 'Varney the Vampire' came out fifty years before Stoker put out Dracula.

I believe in the Netflix Castlevania animation series with Trevor Belmont, where there was a vamp(who was actually a personification of death, in disguise pretending to be a vampire), named Varney, too.

Honestly MCU should focus more mystical and supernatural creature. Less focusing on multiuniverse or time travel. Imagine Dracula confront Dr Doom in intellectual dialog can show the great intellect both characters had and show their people you don't mess with.

8:45 Keep in mind, Doom not only took over as Sorcerer Supreme but also as Superior IronMan. Until recently, he was said to be the second smartest man in Marvel and the second most talented Sorcerer. Others have eclipsed him in the past 10-15yrs but, prior to that, he was top-tier and(IMO) remains so.

Feeling a little bit like a sucker. I didn’t see the Varnae thing coming. I was thinking his power upgrade with Dracula corrupted him. But I did think Blades daughter would end up being the “key to everything” at some point. Also with the speech from captain America this is a low key advertisement for upcoming MCU projects. Liked the story so far though, and the Knull coming pause thing was hilarious!

My interesting thread possibility. Dr Doom's defense plan had him steal Dr Strange's students for protection. What does Doom know about their ability that Strange didn't see? When Doom said Blade was prepared by Marie Laveau, Varne's minion to be his host my interest became even greater because one of the student is Marie's great-great-granddaughter Zoe Laveau who has the ability to create zombies from the dead. Does she have more of Marie's powers.

so, maybe this has been explained somewhere but if Dracula has wolverine's blood and it makes him immune to sunlight and blade is immune to sunlight why not do blood transfusions on at least the blood coven or most important vampires or is there some limit to the transference of immunity?

Blade have always been a monster, does it seem like he has given a damn about doing what's right or protecting humanity. How many of the vampires that Blade have killed might have been innocent who's leading neutral lives. Blade is behaving like one of members of either the Crips of the Bloods, a Crip see a red t-shirt and automatically see a Bloods member. Would Blade see the difference inbetween a neutral group like the House of Leichen and a extremist group like the Byron Clan?

So, Marvel has tons of worlds like DC, right? I kind of wish Blade had taken some responsibility instead of just blaming Varnae. I think the 3rd Blade movie is to blame for this feeling because in that one, Dracula told Blade that "the thirst for blood always wins". With Brielle in the mix now, it would have been more exciting if Blade had really gone dark and Brielle took on the role of vampire killer. Marvel is really good at turning bad characters into good guys. It would have been awesome to see Blade as a bad guy and then turn things around later on.
