The third interviewee is kinda dumb to compare philippines to silicon valley is he a nut,? Duh. Im sorry im not a negative person and dont lockdown on others yet he speaks like Nigeria is that awesome. Duh if i dont know how it is there🙄🙄🙄. At least in the philippines even in the provinces the roads are good unlike in Nigeria where most streets are just plain mud. 😏😏😏 . There might be something nigeria can boast of that is lots of bigtime con people and scammer ate mostly nigerians. Im sorry but im just stating a fact. What 8s there for him to brah about his country? The dirty streets? Duh🙄🙄🙄 im sorry again. But he us dumb stupid to say those things really.

It's really nice seeing more international students choosing the Philippines as their second home. Even at my university in Batangas province, there are plenty of African, Indian, Korean, Chinese, and Middle Eastern students. Not to mention, a Nigerian male student recently won this year's annual pageant contest organized by the university.

Those Thai students prefer to study in the Philippines due to the fact that English is used as the primary medium of instruction in schools. Not only they learn to speak English in the schools but they also get to practice conversing the language outside the school when they communicate with the locals since English is the common language. Learning a new language becomes easier if you speak it on a regular basis. Talk about hitting two birds with a single stone.

He needs to get out that stereotypical mindset. The Philippines is in Asia and the US in North America. They are two geographically different regions with two different cultures and economies. While we have the occasional colonial mentality, meaning there are Filipinos who favor American culture more than their own etc, we are still very different from the US. I hope he realized that my country is not and will never be America.

In response to the Nigerian guy, American cities are different from Asian cities. Manila and Cebu cities have the ambiance of Bangkok, Jakarta, Kuala Lumpur, and some parts of Manila look like Singapore like BGC and Ayala, Makati. By the way, Philippines is constructing a world-class airport, the New Manila International Airport in Bulacan, Also the Sangley International Airport in Cavite. I don't know what will they do to the old Manila airport, maybe a fully domestic airport, a theme park, or a business district.

They're right. When I went to Thailand in 2017, most locals were very nice to us also. But since most of them can't speak English very well, they sometimes avoid talking to you but it's understandable. I don't see it as being rude because that's what I also experienced in Hong Kong. I thought most Hong Kongers can speak English well because of the 99 years they were under British colony until 1997. But to my surprise, most don't speak English very well, especially in small restaurants, shops. They avoid talking to foreigners. But Thais are mostly nice as in other parts of the world. There are more nice people in this world than the bad ones.
