We purchased the LB6500 leaf blower with 56V CH2100 battery - NOT HAPPY. It runs for a few minutes then shuts off. Starts right back. Shuts off. Over and over. Apparently this is a known problem with the battery. It does come with a warranty and you have to call and go through about a 30 minute to 1 hour wait to speak with someone (yes I tried leaving my name & number for a call back but they never called me back). Once you finally speak with someone they want to go through the whole troubleshooting process. After waiting 45 minutes to speak with someone I asked if we could skip the troubleshooting because I didn't have time (I do have to work!) and the condescending person said no basically. So I guess I'll have to take some vacation time to call. SIGH. I told him tell management if they have a known problem just send a replacement for goodness sake. So tired of these huge companies jerking customers around. EGO I HOPE YOU READ THESE COMMENTS.

If you bought it within 30 days, just return it to the store. I'm sorry you had a frustrating time with their customer support. I've had to deal with them twice and it was hassle free both times.

I’m a trucker and used mine only a few times put it in my side box and I guess it tilted and activated the darn cruise control and killed my battery now my battery can’t and won’t even charge, red light just blinks and battery doesn’t charge great idea just not good at all to throw it in a trunk with the battery attached

My 530 is a tank. Been covered in mud, experienced many impacts including falling off my trailer, sprayed with water jet, and survived the seemingly endless wall of leaf dust in the fall. The blower still runs. The 650 I got is already gone. I got a replacement from warranty and it has issues too. Try to decide what I want to do for my next blower.

have the 650 for 2 yrs and picked up the 765 on sale. TBH I feel like they are about equal and at times maybe feel like the 650 has more juice. The motor seems more torque with the noise and feel. I might take it back and get another 650 bc its not an upgrade

Thank you for the review. Considering the 765CFM at high is 580CFM with runtime of 21.4 min vs the 530CFM using Turbs at 530CFM with runtime of 14.4 min., looks like the 765CFM is a much more efficient leaf blower to me.

Called EGO they sent me to a dealer not a repair shop. I do not drive, they sent me to a place down the Mt..great. Great video! You could also measure blowing force by zeroing the scale with the blower on it facing up, and then turning the blower on. Probably would have to prop it up to make sure that it didn’t fall over

The unit has a 30 day return policy so I am still considering whether to return it or not, especially after reading that Ego’s customer service is lousy : (

my 765 blower runs for a few minutes then shuts off with the solid red lights on the battery then i have to disconnect the battery and reinstall it then it works for 30 seconds and shuts off again, tried a different battery and still shuts off and lights are red on battery with full charge

If it's new, take it back. You got a dud. The first one I bought had that same problem right out of the box. I exchanged it immediately for a different one that's never had a problem. If you've had it more than 30 days, EGO'S 3 year warranty will cover it.

Both the EGO 650 and 765 are a huge upgrade from the 530. I'd pick up the EGO 650 at Lowes on Black Friday. They'll have the 5Ah kit on sale for $199.

I have a 580cfm i bought in 2021 and it is still going strong. Last season i upgraded to the 765cfm with the battery deal they had going. Problem is that the 765cfm shuts off if I run turbo more than about 5-7 minutes! I assume its overheating b/c if let it sit for awhile it runs fine. I can also pop battery off/on and it will do turbo again but shuts off pretty quickly. The 580cfm i can run wide open turbo until the battery dies.Disappointed in the 765!

I don't have any experience with Ryobi customer service, but EGO's has been excellent for me. My mower came missing the mulching plug, and one was on my doorstep two business days after I contacted them. I also had a 7.5Ah battery die after two years, and they had a new one shipped to me within a week.

Do you have any feedback on the sound between them? I've seen other reviewers state the 650 seems louder or at least has a much higher pitch or annoying sound to it, thus could possibly be more annoying to neighbors than the 765. Curious your thoughts on non-turbo sound levels as well as at turbo? I'm coming from the 530 and considering the 650 Lowes BF deal, but could be swayed to the 765 if it is noticeably quieter for my family and neighbors. I like to do a fairly regular "dusting" of the driveway and porch. These electric blowers just make it so easy to grab for a quick cleaning. The batteries are actually cheaper than Milwaukee when you look at total Watt Hours. An M18 12Ah battery retails for $250, and so does the EGO 5Ah. But one is 18V nominal, and the other is 50.4V nominal. So multiply those twoAh ratings by their respective voltages, and you get 216 Wh for the Milwaukee and 252 Wh for the EGO.

Doesn't look like much of a difference performance-wise. I'd go with whichever is the better deal. Keep in mind EGO is selling the 670 kitted with a 4Ah battery, and the 650 usually comes with a 5Ah battery. From what I can tell, it looks like EGO is trying to make the 670 more attractive to buyers with negligibly better CFM numbers and hope they don't notice the 20% less capacity of the kitted battery.

thanks, 12 mins is not useful for a blower, when for $70 a more powerful corded blower is available. More interested in using it to dry a washed car. Have been using corded a very long time and will continure to do so until something more powerful has at least a 30 min run time...

The issue is that there IS ONLY A 12 MIN BATTERY LIFE on the powerful Ego, and they cost $250, so definitely not there yet

Sounds like you had a battery die on you and now you hate the brand as a whole? If it's out of the three year warranty period (5 years for 10Ah and higher), then it's usually just worth it to buy another kit rather than a bare battery. If you look at watt hours though, EGO is right in line with other power tool manufacturers for cost per watt hour.

I gave numbers for Turbo, High, and Low settings for each blower if you watch the whole video. And I pretty much use Turbo all the time because my yard is small enough it doesn't matter. If I had to make a battery last with a larger yard, then I'd probably run on high most of the time.

At lowes, they have 5amp battery for 765 for 90min...used it normal mode and it lasted for 45min. Talk about shady. Not for your large yard with tons of leaves. Gas blower for the win.

It's common sense to assume that max runtime is on low, unless specifically stated otherwise. You can be mad about performance all you want, but 90 minutes runtime isn't a lie. True, with one battery you'll be waiting for it to charge if you're tackling a large yard with wet leaves. But I have a small yard and it's very rare that I need to go grab another battery to finish clearing my yard of leaves. These battery blowers are more powerful than just about any handheld gas leaf blower you can compare them with, which usually top out around 450-500 CFM. I'll take the higher power and convenience of the EGO any day over gas. If you need very long runtimes, then you'll need to stick with gas or buy more batteries. If you want more power, you'll have to look at top end gas backpack blowers.

Super fuckin high power that will be done in 45 mins or low power for 90 minutes so you can hop right on the next battery once you're done? some jobs require low and slow. It's pretty standard for battery blowers of this power level. Many handheld gas leaf blowers top out around 450 CFM. So if you compare the "high" runtime of 20-30 minutes for all of these, it's a much more reasonable number than the Turbo setting.

Because it wouldn't have been a fair comparison of what the blower can do. The smaller 2.5Ah batteries can't output as much current as the larger 5Ah batteries. So it would have handicapped the 530 CFM blower and you wouldn't get a clear picture of its capabilities. Also, manufacturers can change what batteries come in a kit over the life of the product and the blower is also sold bare tool. So sticking with the same battery for comparing all three models makes sense. AND BTW, I THINK YOUR CAPS LOCK IS STUCK ON!

Yes, I covered runtime tests in the video. Sure, if you have a large property you need more batteries or stay with gas. But you're greatly exaggerating when you write this off as a "sidewalk only" blower. Even just on high you get 580 CFM, which is more than the top handheld gas blowers can do. And at that speed, runtime is bumped up to 22 minutes. For the convenience of not dealing with a pull start, lower noise, and higher power output, I'll pick the EGO any day over gas.

That's on turbo..... I own the 530 I run it on high with only bursts of turbo when needed and I can do my 10,000sqft property no problem at all on a single charge.

If you have a larger property, I use a 10ah battery and their backpack battery holder. Makes it much easier for long use.
