The BGA 250 is an awesome blower. Couldn't believe my local Ace Hardware had one in stock, despite the fact that they're not even on Stihl USA's website yet. I almost bought the BGA 200 for the additional power over the BGA 86, however I previously owned the BGA 100 and never liked the tethering arrangement. For my needs as a residential user, the onboard battery set-up works best. This blower is very powerful, and so quiet...very impressive.

Couldn’t have said it better myself! Very similar situation, my local store here in Canada told me it’d be here in fall of 2025! It was to my surprise when I got a call a month later that it had showed up! Very impressed with it and completely agree that having the on board battery is a game changer

250 over a 200 you think? Ever try the 200?

I’ve yet to try the 200, however, the 200 series is only used with the backpack batteries and the 250 is used with the ap 300/500 individual batteries. If you already have a backpack battery it may be worth it to get the 200 since you’ll have a longer battery life of use. However, for the steep investment of the backpack battery I am personally going the route of the 250 since i can use the batteries in more of the equipment!

The 250 is noticeably more powerful than the 200. That, plus the grab-and-go convenience of the on-board battery setup vs the tethering requirement makes it the better choice for me.

@ recommend getting the double warranty - (does it have to be an AP battery could I get away with doing an AK 10 haha the cheapest)? BGA should have 3 years - standard warranty.
