@nathanharvey94203 жыл бұрын
@@wien1563 whats your routine??
@wien15633 жыл бұрын
@@nathanharvey9420 basically doink less sets, but pushing to max intensity thats personally possible for me (as far as i can go without a spotter to be more exact). Lets say i did arms the other day, normally i do the regular 3-4 sets of each excercise up to 12, 15 reps. But now i did it like yates once said when he was having leg day. There he would pre exhaust his legs on the extensions machine by going to max effort. Which i did for arms. I have done cable bicep curls with a lot of focus on the concentric and especially the eccentric phase to which Yates refers, aka the negatives. Then after that excercise i would move to preacher curls, and i have to tell you normally i stack up like 50 KGs on the bar and do preacher curls. But not this time, my bizeps was literally pinching from the buimt up tension from the previous cable curls. So i could only do like 30 kgs imstead of 50 kgs. But i have again done it with high focus on the contraction and as well held it like 2 seconds in the fully curled phase, and then stretched it slowly (negstives). The tension in the bicep was so strong like rarely before. So briefly(just talking about biceps im this case): - Cable curls: 2 sets to failure (the later set being the one where i really try to go all out) - preacher Curls: 2 sets (same sets as above) - Dumbbell curls (same as Bove - i wanna go sleep now i ll write the rest tomorrow. Gl with training :)

Provided a good base as a teen and this has carried me through to later years. I also learned to acquire intensity without steroids, which a lot of people I know don’t have and can only train in the gym when on a course. The rest of the time they have not motivation, no neurological drive. These speeches by Dorian ignite enthusiasm to train.

@HAL-dm1eh Жыл бұрын
Enough to change the weights and take a breather, about 1 minute generally. But for each individual, he said to take enough time to be good and ready for each set and to take that working set to failure. Regarding rest between exercises, I noticed when he trains someone he lets them do quite a bit of talking and answers their questions and takes his time. But I've also seen him give a general guideline of about 5 mins.

I used to be so strick with rest periods 45' seconds or 1 minute. Now I just take enough time to be able to attack the weights 100%. So it will differ from person to person. For let's a bench press I rest around 1.30 minutes for squat 2-3 minutes
