Use key commands N and M to move notes to the staff above or below.

@@ryann2481 it doesn't normally. Have you manually edited the note lengths? Maybe get in touch via FB or Dorico.com/forum and send us the file to check?

Please I would like to know any source that I can download classical orchestra sheet music that can be play in Dorico 5.1? Thank you very much.
@DJKLProductions3 ай бұрын
A source like this does not (yet) exist for Dorico, as it does for MuseScore. However, you can certainly ask in the forum whether someone has already converted a score of a classical work of your choice into Dorico and would be kind enough to make it available to you. Otherwise, you can only use IMSLP to download scores in PDF form and convert them yourself by hand.

Does this work with Note Performer 4 playback also? (Just curious)
@MadMusicologist Жыл бұрын
I suppose so, but keep in mind please that NP overrides Dorico's fabulous playback features in which you can meticuosly plan where which instrument of your ensemble will be placed on stage, and have the appropriate acoustic mockup for that stage. This is why I avoid using NP with Dorico, only with Sibelius.
@d.d.jacksonpoetryproject Жыл бұрын
If this is true I hope that they work on even greater note performer integration - it feels like for a notation program environment at least it’s the logical way to go given how advanced it’s automatic score interpretation has become and especially now that NP 4 is integrating real sample libraries as an option.

disabling this feature made my project behave way snappier and faster. It's an awesome one but seems a bit inefficient in the current state unfortunately
@dorico2 ай бұрын
Dorico is doing less work if you disable that feature, so may be quicker on some machines. I don't think most people find a difference.

@@dorico makes sense, though I have quite a beefy machine. It rather feels it's just not really super threaded. Also simple undo that just changes the selection takes quite some time. Disabling this one made that much faster, maybe instead of .6 it needs .2-.3 seconds. But it shouldn't recalculate anything imho in most cases. Or at least do that in a mroe non-blocking way.

@@dorico of course, a software can be, and still there can be parts that are not for several reasons. In the end it's not the point. an undo that just chagnes selection taking a considerable time is still a problem imho, and this setting changing this to the better is a reproducable fact for me.
