Dear Ellena, may I ask you to show us how to style and accessorise light weight clothing for very hot weather 35⁰C+. Scarfs are impossiblely hot, as are multiple layers and boots. Even trainers are out of the question. It is challenging for all of us. A lot of my summer clothes are made of cotton voile fabric. It is actually cooler to cover up than wear tank tops and shorts as the fabric protects from sunburn and wicks away moisture.

Layering is cute, but you go from easy summer outfit, T-shirt and jeans, to cold spring one, including a trench coat. Will not work for summer. All your looks are pretty, but will not work for hot weather. And all stylists keep recommending layering.

Except for my university days, I've always lived in a tropical/sub-tropical climate that makes it so hard to use the "third layer" style tip. I LOVE blazers, sweaters, and cardigans but can only stand to wear them about 3 days out of the year. As an "apple" the third layer would be so helpful, but even lighter layers can be uncomfortable in +90 F. Can I please have some cheese with my whine? 😉

For sure I’ve been using your tips to improve my style. All in my closet and forgotten vs unsure on how to combine them (scarves, button down shirts, etc). I realized most of my tops are tshirts, tops sleeveless and either black or white with some patterns. Button down are the more difficult to use for me as they either tend to open at the breast level, or when sitting tend to inflate as a balloon. Shirts are tricky. Do you have any hints/recommendations to meake them more user friendly? Thanks

I have a large bust too and I use a V-neck t-shirt instead. It doesn't have to be very deep, just showing a bit of skin there makes everything looks better and the overall vibe is the same. Then, you could go for white because it is not so close to your face, but I have also find that cream or ecru work just as well as white as basic colors. But I would pair them with blue jeans one or two shades darker, just my preference

I also look drained in white and have a full bustline. I agree about a V-neckline tee in ivory, beige, or cream, which has a yellow under base color. Having your colors done can help you find what your ‘white’ shade is for your complexion. I am ‘Autumn’ in coloring. We can wear any color bottoms. But what is next to our faces is what determines our best colors. I also agree that a dark wash denim is what I would wear for myself, age 75, and not a pale blue. To me, it is a younger color and more casual for my style. I live in a dry climate but cold winters, hot summers. Colorado has cooler nights and summer can be in 100 degree range. She is showing here more Fall/Winter season clothing. In summer I would layer with a necklace vs a scarf. If you are cool tones in face wear silver or white gold, platinum. My skin is light with golden undertones. I wear either gold or rose gold earrings. But I go wear white metals sometimes. It’s not set in stone these rules. Often fabric stores can help you locate someone to get your colors done locally and help you identify what is your season. Fall is warm tones. Winter is cool tones. We can choose to wear any metal colors. But our complexions are either cool or warm. And hair color also determines what clothing colors look best on us. I am a retired accountant and not a stylist. But I always ‘wowed’ my co-workers at the corporations. Also try vertical stripe tops/blouse vs a horizontal strip. They are out there. I am really learning a lot from Ellena’s color combinations she puts together. I am enjoying her videos. This is my experience with fashion and colors. I understand the layering of different types of colours and fabrics,,but to be honest hanging a sweater over a sweater in Vancouver Island, Canada looks a bit weird and it’s also too hot to do in spring and summer.

Very creative outfits but unfortunately not always good looking. The two first ones are more than okay, but the last one is in my opinion really awful with the scarve and your arms look much too disproportioned long.
