You can see that Cole expected ppl to cheer when he paraded Meleys' head but instead there were whispers of displeasure. No Targaryen can disrespect a dragon like that. Since Daemon's mom passed a couple years after he was born, most likely he doesn't know or remember exactly how his mother looked like. That's why there's the "who tf are you?" look in him instead of a "mom?!!" reaction. Even after hearing "my favorite son", he seems like he was still processing 😅 Poor Daemon in Harrenhal.

@@Tooba-K123 You're absolutely right. Seeing Harrenhal in this version and period of time is very satisfying. It exceeded my expectations, especially with all its mystical aspects. Furthermore, Harrenhal's significance to the Riverlands and the overall story is profound. We got to know the Strongs and Alys Rivers, who we fell in love with this season. Additionally, we saw the Lords and Ladies of notable Riverlands houses. Their faith in the Old Gods, their compassion for the crimes committed against Jaehaerys and their people, their devotion to justice, and their bravery in choosing fire over bending the knee to a tyrant-no matter which side they were on. The child actor who portrays Oscar Tully, did an incredible job. He manages to a bigger MAN among adults, despite his age.

Starks are in fact pretty much the one great house who never intermarried with Targaryen blood. The North has always been a place and people apart in more ways than one. In fact, the first chance of that happening could have been the very visit of Jacaerys with Cregan at the start of the Dance. It was rumoured that Starks could have been promised a Targaryen marriage and the wildest rumour was of Jace's mesalliance with Cregan's bastard sister. What comes of it you will see, but it's irrelevant at the moment. So no, if there are people who definitely would not be suited to approach dragons, those are the Starks.

Finding riders for the other dragons can be a double edge sword, you're giving a stranger basically a nuclear weapon. It is a very big gamble that could go either way, they can be helpful or burn the kingdom down.

"Cosplay Daemond" (Aemond ) would make a good king, the man who made his nephew dragon poop, tried to kill his brother, disrespects his mother, and so on vs Daemond Targaryen should never be king he's so vicious accused of everything but killing his brother, nephew, niece , loving his mother and not in the way this show has protrayed him and so on. Spoiler- Yeah, by now in the book, almost all of the Riverlords have sided with Queen Rhaenyra and joined Daemon of their own free will. It feels strange that the show is dragging it out. I'm guessing it's so they can show Daemon having a change of heart or some kind of character arc.

@@kman20 As I understand it in the books it's not Targaryen blood per se it's any of the houses of Old Valryia, the Targaryens just happen to be the only remaining house by the time of GoT. This isn't the case in HotD though. Even were it the case the Velaryons and Targaryens have a lot of intermarriages, they're essentially one bloodline more or less.

velaryons are not dragonriders... JAce and Luke's ability to ride a dragon came from their mother Rhaenyra. Hell, Leanor and Laena Velaryon's dragon riding abilty came from Rhaenys.. No other Velaryon who doesn't have Targaryen blood can claim a dragon.. Yes they are from Old Valyria but they dont have blood of the dragon. So Corlys' bastard from another mother would not have the blood of the dragon. But we did see at least one other bastard who claimed Targaryen heritage didn't we..

Blacks should have gather all their dragons and swarmed kings landing right after Rooks, as soon as they got word; knowing Vhagar was wounded. Only helena & dreamfire were in fighting condition ready to possibly defend, and she doesnt seem much of a match for well anyone except maybe Jace & Vermax. They had no real defense being Daeron & his dragon are back in Old Town... and they have no other fighting dragons at the ready. Giving Vhagar time to recover just isnt the smart play, when he is the only big threat to your forces~ They needed to immediately send someone to get Daemon so they could coordinate such a mass assault, using everyone - even Rhaenyra. Ceraxes & Syrax could have taken out Vahgar while Moondancer & Vermax dealt with Dreamfyre (if even in the fight) and the scorpions.
