The car not staring was a blooper. The script originally had them driving away. But the show got a junky car; and when it wouldn’t start; they realized it was a better ending. If you watch closely, you can see the cast in the car laughing.

Yes, and also Michael Richards, the only one to not break character when the car didn't start, ad libbed getting out of the car and looking off into the distance only to get back in and try and start it again. Richards was mad about never breaking character. Same scene when he drops/shoves the air conditioner box into the trunk of the car he really slammed his face directly into it and ad libbed another line "I think I really hurt myself Elaine" (She broke character there too)

Michael Richards is such a method actor, when they gave him an empty box to carry, he demanded it actually have an AC unit inside to make it believable. At the end when he goes to put it in the boot/trunk and it slips and smashes against the lip of the boot, it was accidental, but perfect for Kramer's character, along with the car not starting, a brilliant accident.

Folks, I have a terrible confession to make... I've lost my car in a similar fashion back in the day. Except I wasn't parked in a garage - my car was dark green & parked under an amber-colored light so my green car appeared JET BLACK. I didn't recognize my own car & walked around the parking lot for 30 min. When I finally decided to look @ the LICENSE PLATES, I found my car & had to call mall security to cancel the reports of a car theft. I was super embarrassed. 🤣🤣🤣

Fun fact about the titles of the show: I believe it was Jerry who said they purposely didn't want the names of episodes to be too complex or complicated so the writers wouldn't have to waste time on "clever" ones like other shows did. Also, if no one has mentioned it already, Kramer insisted to carry a real air conditioner so it could be authentic for the show. And he actually did bust his lip when puts it in the trunk at the end.

Michael Richards actually bloodied his mouth when he was putting the A/C in the trunk. He had them put an actually A/C in the box so it would look more real. @@mso4433 I just checked, and the first widely sold camera phone came to market in 1999, the year after Seinfeld finished, however the the first camera with cellular service was on the market in 1994. My first camera phone was a Sony/Eriksson in 2002. Camera phones and texting were a bigger thing in other countries first, and I suppose it really wasn't until the iPhone in 2007 that they went mainstream in the US. To not have a good camera in a phone seems so fundamental to life these days, that it is now very difficult to imagine life before phones were cameras and computers in the pocket, like in that Seinfeld era.

One day I had to make a delivery to a large city Hospital (no not that kind of delivery!). This particular Hospital had two large multi-level parking garages which I was not initially aware of. One for visitors to the Emergency dept, the other for visitors to the Internal Medicine and related departments. When I parked my car I made a note that it was located in stall "B-9". But when I finished my delivery I went to B-9 to find that my car not there. I spent 20 minutes looking for it and also called Security on their intercom. One guard was kind enough to escort me around to help me find my car. He then suggested that I might have parked in the "other" parking lot which has an identical color coded numbering system. So I eventually found my car soon after learning of their identical twin parking garages.

And changing the colors of the signs to indicate different levels.

The end scene where Kramer is putting the a/c unit in the trunk, Michael Richards (Kramer) actually slipped and smashed his face into the trunk lid. And just as he pulled over to let me out, my car was there. The other time was in the Giants Stadium parking lot (before it was torn down and replaced by MetLife). It was just after the Devils 1995 Stanley Cup parade and the parking lot was absolutely trashed from stuff left behind by tailgaters. Eventually after the lot was nearly empty, I found the car. In 2017, a Seinfeld fan sought to prove Urology & Nephrology Open Access Journal, among other online medical journals, publishes fake news. He created a report with a case study on Jerry's condition. They said he'd have to pay a $799 fee for his report to be published, and that it had been sent off for peer review.
