I think you're right. This totally feels like a movie morpher; And, for whatever reason, Hasbro can't actually call it that without splitting the profits with another party. That idea is only bolstered by the fact that Kim specifically calls out the other Rangers who appeared in the movie at the time. The extra phrases do nothing for me personally. Especially, because it's not Amy Jo Johnson. And also because, who wants to put a blue or red power coin in the wrong dedicated morpher? That's never been a desire that I've ever had anyway. I love your idea of making this a Kimberly/Cat shared morpher with dino/ninja power coins and phrases from each actress taken from the show. The final result that we're left with here is a real head scratcher.

It's almost definitely a rights issue. It's the same reason the movie designs aren't in any of the mobile games or Battle for the Grid. Disney/Fox own everything to do with the movie. Bandai probably had old residual rights from way back when - Hasbro likely didn't gain those.

I bought this morpher as I wasn’t able to get a hold of the original release lightning morpher and I repainted the pink parts in red to make a red ranger morpher I just use it for display as it still has the sounds

I am pretty sure that Hasbro would need to make a deal with Fox to be able to mention the movie. They still own the rights, according to what Tony Oliver told me during a Q&A panel. I had asked if there was ever going to be an updated version of the movie with better CGI (like they did with Star Wars) but he said it was a legal issue.

It would of been nice if they included an exclusive firebird thunderzord coin and the Ninja Crane coin instead of the other coins and like you said market it as a movie morpher. But I guess they didn’t put too much thought in it.

I was looking at this one in the hopes of re-painting it to make it look like Tommy's Master Morpher from Super Ninja Steel but tbh I think I'll just wait and see what comes out in the future. I really wish they'd make legacy morphers for the other seasons. I have no idea what i ever did with the morpher toys I had as a kid.

FINAL ATTACKRIDE...D-D-D-DAAAMN, THAT'S SAVAGE!! I ordered the Pink Ranger Morpher from GameStop for my wife since the Legacy Collection Pink Movie Morpher is a pain to find on Amazon...and the sounds are underwhelming at best. The other LEDs have trouble because the frame you insert the Power Coins into is also pink - as a result, the purple LED for Black only looks like A Different Shade of Pink, the blue LED is kinda purple, and both the yellow & red LEDs manage to come across as orange. The holster has similar styling to Bandai's, but it won't fit at all with the back facing out to easily grab the handle, whereas Bandai's works for both sides (though it sucks at being set with the front facing out, as if it was an afterthought). Surprised about your copy being scuffed, this one was just fine.

Nice review! I like this product but wow what a strange release. Why was Cat excluded? Why only focus on the second set of MM rangers? No Crane coin? POGS??? 🤷😵‍💫🤷 One small but serious suggestion; Please include the McDonald's morpher & coins in all future MMPR morpher reviews for comparison!

The lightning Morpher and old 1994 Morpher both play power ranger song?? The 1994 morpher lights (4 small lights) light up pink for pink ranger? Maybe they look more pink on lightning Morpher simply because the plastic around the little lights is pink

This is such a strange release. It tries to be in the style of the movie morpher but not explicitly. It really should have had the crane coin at least if they want to really celebrate the pink ranger properly. The sounds for the other rangers’ coins are kind of nonsensical and the pogs make it seem really cheap.

This is a bit dissapointing. My daughter really wanted this, Kim's her favorite, but not being able to turn off the voices is a bit of a deal breaker. My kid wants to morph not have some imitation of Amy Joe Johnson start yelling nonsense phrases about all the rangers. The voice work would be fine if you could shut it off.

It's a cool look and A Pink Ranges for all of them was a little bit of a Overkill but it comes with pogs that's cool and she did switch bodies with Billy in season 1 right befor Green With Evil but this Pink Ranger Morpher is for season 2 after The Power Transfer with her saying Aisha Karen Ashley and Rocky Steve Cardenas and Adam Johnny Yong Bosch and the original lightning collection is for season 1 with Amy Jo Johnson Kimbery and David Yost Billy and Thuy Trang Trini and Walter Emanuel Jones Zack and Austin st. John Jason.

Every review of this thing I've seen there's been scuff marks and damage on the Morphers. The QC is just terrible all-around, especially for the price-point. This is one reason I dislike Non-Windowed Merch, you can't inspect and tell if there's defects until after purchasing it. Hasbro has a very serious QC issue. The Pogs are a nice idea, but, for what people are paying, they could have sank a little more into them, like, instead of random screenshots, do some sick art of the Zords, and the Pink Weapons, even of the Pink Shark Cycle, like, the 4 Pogs should have been depictions of the Pink Arsenal. Like, remember some of the art inside the cockpit of the Zords? One of those designs would have been perfect where it's like, the line art.

Doing pretty much any other color of MMPR Morpher first instead of doing a different season would still be lazy and redundant, but at least they'd make _slightly_ more sense - Tommy's Morpher (either movie or TV show) because he has Wolverine Publicity, Red because Red Rangers almost always get preferential treatment, Yellow or Black because Bandai never did them, Blue because..... okay, I've got nothing, but my point still stands that doing Pink before any other is nonsensical at best and pandering to the woke crowd at worst.

@@otaking3582 i think it makes sense to do pink first because her sale are middle of the road. you’re going to get better sales with red, green, and white and worse sales with yellow, blue, and black. she makes sense to do first to guess what to expect. if you see anything else, i think it says a lot about you. i do dislike the milking of mmpr though, but they will milk mmpr until the brand dies.
