Fellow trucker here. People drive entirely too goddamn fast to get nowhere. Run up each other's asses then wonder why there's a backup or a wreck. It's gotten so bad that I'm done driving next spring. It's just not worth it.

Yes it dies. If you are blocking the flow of traffic, that will cause accidents. If you're going 20 ,they are going 45 , there will be a wreck and you will be blamed.

There is a 5 mph threshold for the cameras....if it's 55... anything above 60 is tagged.

pictures don't identify the driver, just the vehicle. is the "ticket" actually a request for information on who was driving, so the operator gets ticketed. if so, i dont answer questions and it is not my job to conduct your investigation.

It’s not like they hide those cameras, I have driven by them a few times in my travels. I have no sympathy for folks that get those tickets when it’s that obvious the camera is there.

Now are those tickets issued to the registered owner? Or the driver. If to the owner…prove the registered owner is the driver.

If it’s an inactive construction zone I dont see the need for a ticket….but workers present it should be highly enforced.

This is a simple way for the city of Rochester to collect $$$. The 40mph speed limit is way too slow for that area on 490. My sons girlfriend got a ticket for 51 in a 40... really Rochester??? Do better. Go fix the REAL crime going on in the city. Pathetic

If there's video of your car when you were issued the speeding ticket it should be a simple matter of calculating the time it took to go from point A to point B to check your speed versus the speed they said you were going. Math doesn't lie.

I say people should start destroying the cameras, once it costs money to operate them they will quit doing it . They are starting to do this in the UK because they have gone camra crazy there, . If nothing is done and they keep making this kind of money, they will start installing more and we will be like the UK here. Besides who gets the ticket? Me or the neighbor that borrowed my car and drove it when the Pic was taken? No cop, no ticket.

People seem to ignore the fact that these laws exist to protect workers. This is a societal problem and it's not just the drivers, speeding is usually a side effect of the consequences of being late to work. Employers have no simpathy anymore and that "trickles down".

If they are making that much money on a month, I'm going to say thats an illegal speed trap and all those tickets are illegal. Thats stolen money. Something sure as hell aint right with this
