Invoker did not actually defeat all the dragons yet, he has made a deal with terrorblade that he will help him take all the seven dragon souls if he helps him defeat selemene. To prove his loyalty, he captured one of the dragons and gave it to him. This made terrorblade go to selemene in the finale and deal with her first.

It just felt like they forgot to upload final episode. And we got 0 answers. Still no idea who is Mene, why her lotuses caused Selemene's power loss, Who the hell is Marci, what happened to Selemene, Invoker. We literally got nothing and it is annoying is fuck. Anyway, when is the next season?

Lore wise, invoker acquired a spell that keeps him young…forever , but it probably costs magic to keep up, so he spent up a dangerous amount of mana to capture the eldwyrm so his life force was drained for a while. Reminds of Tsunade when she runs out of chakra.

@Belphegor I'm not sure about the lore, this being my only take into that world. Mileena is prob correct..I was just saying how it seemed like it took just about everything from him to accomplish that spell. His focus, his knowledge, his motivation(flashed to his kids life,books?), his energy. After, he was just kneeling and looked old and completely spent. Loved how they showed the cost of such a spell instead of just saying a few words or hand movements and it's done. Seemed like an epic battle of wills and the realistic result.

Lore wise, you can sacrifice your vitality/Health points in exchange for magic/mana points in game. So invoker needed more mana here to capture the eldwyrm so he gave up some of his life force to increase his mana pool to finish the capture spell. Hovewer, the invoker has mastered QUAS (the blue orb that sustains life force and allows ice magic ) he regenerated the spent life force quickly. This, along with his immortality spell, makes him a quasi-immortal, basically like a god.

Please explain. How is the Invoker, a human/elf sorcerer so powerful that he a can capture and control the dragons? Where does his power come from? I understand that he is 1000 year old and a perfect memory, but he is not a god or demon. Terrorblade gets his power from currupted souls and Selemene gets her power from her worshippers. Where does the Invoker get his power from?

doubt it. we can see that there are 4 elemental dragons (Fire, Earth, Water, Air) and 4 fundamental dragons (Light, Chaos, Ionic, Void). Who knows, because this is a prequel they can make it so the story forces the dragons to 'hide' in other beings so IO, Enigma, Chaos Knight, KOTL can certaintly be normal beings with those dragons inside them much like Davion.
