An amazing steel guitar player! I know Dottie was in such pain as she came to the end of her life, but she exemplified the Christian trust in the Lord. God bless her God bless her spirit. Dottie you've made our lives so much richer!

When I'm low in spirit I cry Lord lift me up I want to go higher with Thee But nothing grows high on a mountain so He picked out a valley for me And He leads me beside still waters somewhere in the valley below And He draws me aside to be tested and tried in the valley He restoreth my soul It's dark as a dungeon and the sun seldom shines And I question Lord why must this be Then He tells me there's strenght in my sorrow and there's victory in trials for me Then He leads me beside still waters Down in the valley He restoreth my soul

This wonderful woman didn't only sing her life in her songs, but revealed the Hand Of God, Who carried her from her beginnings by that river, through her life, and then the portals of heaven to her new home. By no means did God let go of her hand through it all. She was an inspiration, she was a blessing!

Let's be careful...God can do more for a soul in mere minutes than we can preach for a year. No on church is assured salvation - church names do not matter. What matters is having our hearts covered by the Blood of Jesus. Do I believe in standards and doctrine? Sure. But I also know that Jesus is ever merciful and is not willing that any should perish.
