It is a little blade specific for the job and one I have never done. I'm doing it at not much above cost of materials and post as it is as much a test piece for me. I will get feed back from the owner when it is done to know if I need to alter the design, so happy to it as cheap as I can.

Dagger grinds are tricky mate, can do them by hand but lots of work to get that freehand just right.

That one was Sandvik 12C27 stainless steel, which tends to be the normal stainless that I use. Nice simple stainless that works well will forge heat treatment and reliable results

Hey guys, It is actually and oyster knife, same basic grind as a dagger, but since the tip is used to pry open shells the chisel tip is a lot tougher the a dagger point would be, greater mass of steel where it is required.
